3. 1 1 ER R Note In order to mount the scale s display assembly onto the wall a set of wall anchors and screws will be required not included Refer to the User Instructions for secure display assembly mounting Tools Required Phillips head screwdriver not included Allen wrenches included 11 2700KL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS CONTINUED Assembling the 2700KL Scale Refer to Figures 4 6 Caution It is recommended that the assembly be performed by two persons 1 Place scale platform on a flat level and dry surface and carefully turn the platform upside down Caution Ensure that the wheelchair ramps are held in place when moving the scale ramps can flip open 2 Thread the 4 feet into the underside of the platform Each foot should be completely hand tightened into the platform Back out 1 2 full turns This will allow for proper load cell operation and scale accuracy 3 Carefully flip the scale over to its upright position on the floor Warning Do not drop scale as this can permanently damage the load cells 4 Adjust the feet in order to level the scale Ensure that the feet are not completely tightened into the platform for proper load cell operation 5 Open the scale to its operational position by folding open the wheelchair ramps 6 Connect the load cell cable to the scale platform by inserting the load cell cable connector into the load cell port See Figure 5 7 Ensure that the other load

9. 700KL scales allow tare weight to be entered manually by using the keypad or automatically as outlined in this section TARE 1 With all weight off the scale press the ON OFF button to turn on the scale 2 Wait until the O OLB or O OKG appears on the display 3 Place the wheelchair on the scale The display will show a value for the wheelchair s weight 4 Press the TARE button The scale will zero out and the word TARE will appear at the bottom center of the display indicating that there is a tare value for this patient s wheelchair 5 Remove the weight from the scale Once it is removed from the scale the display will show a negative weight equal to the weight of the wheelchair 6 Place the patient and wheelchair on the scale The scale will automatically deduct the tare weight of the wheelchair from the gross weight of the patient and wheelchair together 7 The weight of the patient will appear on the scale 8 With no weight on the scale the tare value will remain on the display until changed cleared or until the scale is turned off 9 To remove the Tare press the TARE button again The word TARE will disappear from the bottom of the display and the tare value will be cleared from the display The scale will resume normal operation PRETARE Limit 200 0 Ib 1 Make sure that there is no object on the weighing platform 2 Press the ON OFF button to turn on the scale 3 Wait until the O

LY Figure 7 14 DISPLAY ASSEMBLY WALL MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS Display Assembly Wall Mounting Instructions Caution When wall mounting the display assembly ensure that the mounting location is free of electrical lines gas pipes and other safety hazards Ensure that wall is of construction that can support the display assembly 1 Position the display assembly on the wall and carefully trace around the display outline 2 Mark a level horizontal line 2 4 70mm below the top of the display outline 3 Mark a vertical line through the center of the display outline The center line is 4 72 114mm from each side of the display outline 4 On the level horizontal line mark two drill holes 2 74 57mm away from the center line 5 Use the appropriate plastic or metal anchors for the type of wall construction and carefully drill the appropriate sized holes 6 Insert the anchors into the wall and screw in the two mounting screws into the anchors Adjust the screw head depth such that the bracket can be mounted over the two screw heads 7 Position the display assembly mounting holes onto the mounting screws and pull down on the display assembly to secure the bracket over the screws Required Parts 1 Display Assembly 2 8 Anchoring Screws 4 2mm nominal OD 2 Mounting Anchors Compatible with Wall Construction Note Anchors and Anchoring Screws are not included with these scales 15 SETUP BATTERIES TRANSPO

Note The scale will not calculate BMI for a patient that is 24 pounds 12 kg or less If a height is not entered for the patient within 30 seconds of pressing the BMI button the scale will return to the normal weighing mode 1 Make sure there is no object on the weighing platform 2 Press the ON OFF button to turn the scale on 3 Wait until the 0 0 LB or 0 0 KG appears on the display 4 Ask the patient to step on the scale The scale will begin to display weight information and will lock on the patient s weight when the stable weight of the patient is determined Depending on the movement of the patient on the scale it may take several seconds for the scale to lock onto the weight 5 Once a weight has been displayed while the patient is still on the scale Health o meter recommends performing a second weighing by pressing the REWEIGH button 6 After obtaining the patient s weight on the scale press the BMI button while the scale is on 7 The scale will prompt you to enter the patient s height Use the keypad A and buttons to enter the patients height Note When weighing in pounds the height is displayed in inches When weighing in kilograms the height is displayed in centimeter 8 Once height is keyed in press the ENTER button 9 The display will show the patients BMI 10 Press the ENTER button to return to the normal weighing mode of the scale 21 MAINTENANCE AA Maintenance The following

RT Preparing the 2650KL 2700KL Scale for Use 1 Remove the protective plastic film covering the display the film says FACTORY CALIBRATED 2 Place batteries into the battery holder see Figure 7 3 Plug the scale s AC adapter into the power source 4 Ensure all objects are removed from the scale s platform Press the ON OFF button to turn the scale on The display will show Start then 0 0LB or 0 0KG 5 Press the UNIT button to select the weight mode Ib or kg Note These scales will always default to the settings and units last used lb or kg 6 When the AC adapter is disconnected from the scale the scale will switch to battery power if batteries are installed Note If the set up procedure failed refer to the troubleshooting instructions If the problem is not corrected refer to qualified service personnel Replacing Inserting Batteries 1 Unplug the AC adapter from the power source 2 Remove the battery cover on the side of the display assembly by unscrewing the 2 battery cover screws see Figure 7 3 Replace or install the batteries with new units Health o meter recommends using an alkaline or lithium battery rated for 130 F 54 C operation Do not use Zinc Carbon batteries 4 Re attach the battery cover to the display assembly Warning If the scale will not be used for some time remove the batteries to avoid a safety hazard Disposal of batteries must be performed

18. in accordance with the prevailing national regional or local regulations which apply to you 16 SETUP BATTERIES TRANSPORT CONTINUED Preparing a 2650KL 2700KL Scale for Transport The ramps on these scales can be easily folded for movement from one room to another Both scales include mounting pins to secure the display assembly during transport the pins are located on the right wheelchair ramp To prepare the scale for transport follow these steps 1 Remove the display assembly from the wall by lifting up the display assembly off of the mounting screws 2 Unplug the AC adapter from the display assembly and remove the adapter from the outlet Carefully store the AC adapter and cord to prevent damage during transport 3 With the scale on the floor fold both ramps onto the platform 4 Position the display assembly onto the mounting pins located on the right folded ramp The display assembly is mounted onto the ramp by sliding the display assembly brackets onto the raised pins see Figures 8 amp 9 5 For the 2650KL grasp the guardrail located on the opposite side the wheels and lift the scale onto the two wheels The scale can now be transported by rolling the unit on its wheels 6 For the 2700KL grasp the handle located on the opposite side of the wheels and lift the scale onto the two wheels The scale can now be transported by rolling the unit on its wheels Mounting pins on right folded ramp Figure
