Connect the pressure gauge on top of the housing lid rotating it clockwise into the threaded receptor Use Teflon tape to ensure a proper seal Prepare the Aquasource and House Plumbing for Installation parts supplied by plumber in accordance with local plumbing code l Locate the main water supply line for the house Locate the main water supply shutoff valve and rotate it counter clockwise to close the water supply to the house Close all of the faucets in the house to avoid back flow of water Disconnect the water line If a pressure regulator is installed disconnect the line after the regulator If necessary install additional plumbing to enable a valve connection to bypass the Aquasource unit on the water supply line Install a hose bib faucet for flushing and shutoff valve on the Aquasource outlet port This will provide additional convenience when flushing the system during installation and filter changes Connect the outflowing water line the water line going into the house to the 1 OUTLET port of the Aquasource housing The OUTLET port is the lower of the two ports on the housing closer to the bottom of the housing Connect the inflowing water line the water line with the initial water supply to the 1 INLET port of the Aquasource housing The INLET port of the higher of the two ports on the housing closer to the center of the housing Startup and Use of Your Aquasource Whole House Water Treatm2. 5. be purchased directly from Multipure For the latest prices please visit our website at http www multioure com store The Aquasource Whole House System uses a set of 3 identical replacement filters Model Nos CB20 CB20LSI Actual filter life depends on the amount of water used and the level of particulate matter in the water being processed If your water has a noticeable amount of large particulate matter e g sand dirt leaves etc Multipnure recommends the installation of a Sediment Filter ourchased separately before the Aquasource which extends the useful life of the replacement filter cartridges The Aquasource Whole House System is designed to be most effective with municipally treated water The Aquasource Whole House System is designed for cold water use only and at a maximum water pressure of 100 psi The Aquasource housing operates in an upright position Please leave at least 22 clearance above the housing for filter cartridge changes Do not allow water to freeze in the system If the system is exposed to freezing temperatures drain water from the system and remove the filter cartridges Allow the filters to thaw before replacing and reusing Do not allow water to sit in the system for extended periods of time i e 10 days or more without use It is always advisable to flush all of the water pipes in yourhome whenever water has been standing in the pipes for an extended period of time Check for compliance wit
6. ed on top of the housing lid counterclockwise until it is removed Attach a garden hose to the flushing hose bib faucet and open the faucet to flush the system Allow water to flow through the Aquasource and out through the flushing hose This will drain the water from the system housing Close the flushing hose bib faucet Check all connections for any possible leaks Turn each of the 8 I bolts counter clockwise to loosen use a screwdriver pliers or other tool for leverage if necessary Pull the I bolts up and away from the housing lid and then turn them so that each l bolt rests against the side of the housing bottom Carefully lift the housing lid up off of the housing bottom and set aside Turn the nut on the retention plate counter clockwise to remove Carefully remove the filter retention plate and set both the plate and the nut aside Carefully remove each of the 3 used filter cartridges from the system housing Allow them to dry for 24 48 hours before disposal To dispose of the used filters place them in normal refuse Installing the New Filter Cartridges l 2 Remove the plastic wrapper and instruction wrap from around the new filter cartridges Inspect each filter cartridge to make sure that all three have two 2 black O rings properly seated in grooves on the nipple make sure to check that the o rings are lightly lubricated and one 1 white gasket seated at the base of the filter nipple Install each
7. ent System Close the shutoff valve connected to the flushing hose bib faucet after the Aquasource but before the water enters the house Open the main water supply shutoff valve Check for any possible leaks Purge the air from the Aquasource a Locate the air vent valve on top of the Aquasource housing lid Rotate the air vent valve nut counterclockwise b Once a steady stream of water escapes from the air vent valve turn clockwise to tighten Attach a garden hose to the flushing hose bib faucet and open the faucet to flush the system Allow water to flow through the Aquasource and out through the flushing hose for approximately 5 10 minutes This will flush any carbon dust and debris from the pipes Close the flushing hose bib faucet Check all connections for any possible leaks Open the shutoff valve connected to the flushing hose bib faucet Water can now flow through the Aquasource and into the house Additional Usage Notes Your Aquasource Whole House Water Treatment System is now ready to provide cleaner clearer water at every tap and appliance throughout your home The Aquasource effectively reduces dirt rust sand algae and chlorine improving the smell taste and overall quality of water for bathing showering and all other household water needs e With the optional CB2OLS I filter cartridges the Aquasource also effectively reduces the presence of and inhibits the build up of limescale For the highest quality drinking wa
8. filter cartridge inside the system housing one at a time a Insert each filter cartridge nipple side down into one of the 3 receptor holes located inside the bottom of the Aquasource housing b Make sure that all 3 cartridges are fully inserted and that the white gasket around the filter cartridge nipple is in complete contact with the receptor hole NOTE All 3 filter cartridges must be used for proper function of the Aquasource Failure to properly insert all 3 filter cartridges may result in water bypassing the filters and passing through the Aquasource unfiltered Align the filter retention plate so that the connecting rod fits through the center hole of the plate Place the retention plate nut over the connecting rod and rotate clockwise to securely tighten the retention plate over the 3 filter cartridges Inspect the flat opening surface at the top of the housing bottom Make sure that the silicone gasket there is undamaged and properly seated in the recessed groove Carefully place the housing lid on top of the housing bottom Secure with the 8 bolts turning each clockwise to tighten Close the shutoff valve connected to the flushing hose bib faucet after the Aquasource but before the water enters the house Refer to Startup and Use of Your Aquasource Whole House Water Treatment System on page 5 to complete the installation Warranty 90 Days Satisfaction Guaranteed If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with
