4. without delay by an authorized workshop If you have dropped the saw check the pivot safety hood and the fence edge for all cutting depths for signs of damage If the pivot safety hood moves freely and returns straight away to its closed position it is in correct working order If the pivot safety hood cannot be closed without problems the saw must immediately be withdrawn from use It must be repaired by an authorized workshop before being used again Always leave the safety hood in its prescribed working position when you are working with the saw When you are sawing through a work piece the pivot safety hood does not cover the saw blade on the underside of the work piece You should therefore keep your hands fingers and all other parts of your body away from the sawing area of the exposed saw 10 blade Any contact between parts of your body and the rotating saw blade will result in very serious injuries SAWING Always use the saw as set out in these instructions Always support the work piece near the cut for example using a saw stool or the like Always secure the work piece so that the cut is on your side Always secure the work piece in a suitable device The work piece must not be able to move whilst it is being sawn Draw the line of the cut in pen on the work piece before you start the cut Position the front of the saw blades on the actively supported part of the work piece Never position the saw on the part of the
5. excessive pressure it will result in irregular cutting results and will also reduce the service life of the saw blades and saw It may also cause recoil When you are sawing through a work piece the pivot safety hood does not cover the saw blade on the underside of the work piece You should therefore keep your hands fingers and all other parts of your body away from the sawing area of the exposed saw blade Any contact between parts of your body and the rotating saw blade will result in very serious injuries When you have sawn through the work piece and you then raise the saw off the work piece the saw blades will be exposed until the pivot safety hood closes Ensure that the safety hood is completely closed before you put down the saw When cutting metals such as aluminium copper stainless steel or cast iron always use the 11 integral lubrication device since these material tend to adhere to the saw blades When sawing these materials pav verv close attention to ensuring that the direction of the saw is alwavs parallel to the saw blade since otherwise the saw blade will become so hot that it could burn or the damage the saw teeth FEED The feed speed is the speed at which you push the saw blades through the material The correct speed depends on the hardness and thickness of the material Finding the correct feed speed If the feed speed is too low the saw blades will only exert pressure on the material in stead of cutting thr

14. gns of damage and ensure that it is in good working order To check this open the pivot safety hood with the handle and ensure that the safety hood moves freely and that it does not touch the saw blade or other parts at any cutting angle or cutting depth Check the condition and function of the return spring on the pivot safety hood at regular intervals The saw must not be used if the spring and the safety hood are not in good working order These components must be repaired before the saw may be used again Resin deposits or dirt accumulations can cause the pivot safety hood to move more slowly In this case discon nect the machine from the mains supply remove the saw blade and clean the safety hood and the hood area The pivot safety hood may only be opened manually for special cuts such as submersed plunge or shifting cuts In this case open the pivot safety hood using the appropriate handle The pivot safety hood must be released again as soon as the saw blade has engaged in the material The use of the automatic pivot safety hood function must be used for all other cuts After you release the ON OFF switch it will take a little time before the saw blade reaches a standstill Before you put down the saw ensure that the pivot safety hood is completely closed and that the saw blade has reached a standstill An unguarded freely turning saw blade may cause the saw to catapult out of control Never hold the work piece you wish to saw in your hand or
15. he lubricating paste is added by turning the feeder wheel Dosage as required MAINTENANCE AND CARE Pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the saw to cool down before starting any as sembly modification and servicing work This will prevent the saw being started by accident Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic parts Do not use cleaning products solvents or sharp objects Clear the ventilation openings and moving parts from deposits of dust at regular intervals using a soft brush or paintbrush Resin and other substances that accumulate on the sides of the saw blades can cause the blade to overheat which can make the blade bend or even crack You should therefore always clean the saw blades with great care Never scrape the saw blade clean using hard objects Remove these residues using special resin removal products hot water or kerosene Never use petrol to remove these residues After you have cleaned the saw blade or when the saw is not in use the blades should be treated with an anti corrosion product Store the saw in a dry place We do not recommend that you use this saw to cut glass fibre products plasterboard filling compound or plastic for lengthy periods of time as a result of the high friction caused by these products If you nevertheless have to cut these products we recommend that you stop at regular intervals and clean the machine with a jet of compressed air Always wear safety goggles with side protection or sealed gogg
