Flash   To mount your hot shoe flash to the  receiver  slide the foot of the hot shoe    flash into the receiver   s hot shoe mount   Secure the flash to the hot shoe mount           13    CONNECTING THE RECEIVER TO A HOT SHOE FLASH    1  With your hot shoe flash unit 6  Confirm that your camera  transmitter   turned off  switch the flash   s locking receiver  and hot shoe flash are all  switch to the unlock position  powered on    2  Insert the hot shoe flash   s hot shoe foot 7  Fully press the shutter button on  into the receiver   s hot shoe mount  your camera to capture an image  All   lights connected to receivers in the   3  Switch the hot shoe flash   s locking currently selected channel will fire  switch to the locked position to simultaneously  If you selected    ALL     secure it to the receiver  channels on the transmitter  then all   receivers  regardless of their channel   4  Turn on the hot shoe flash and selection  will fire simultaneously     the Flash Trigger LR Receiver   8  The transmitter and receiver LED  5  Set the same channel on the confirmation lights will illuminate red   transmitter and receiver units     14    Note  We recommend using a fully manual  controlled flash with this device  Since   the FreeWave Flash Trigger LR does not  transmit TTL settings  you will need to set  the power output of your flash manually     Note  Your flash unit may enter sleep mode  after a period of non use  To turn off your flash   s  sleep mode  refer to the device

8. evice complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules  Operation is subject to the following  two conditions   1  this device may not cause harmful interference  and  2  this device must  accept any interference received  including interference that may cause undesired operation     17    TROUBLESHOOTING    Check that channels on all communicating  devices are identical  When turning on  the unit  it is important to review and  if  necessary  reset the channel selection     If first choice of channel does not work  try a    different channel until you find one that works     If you encounter any signal interference   try changing the channel     Ensure that all connections are attached  firmly and all cables are installed correctly     Make sure that the power source for each  device is properly installed and carry a  sufficient charge  Weak batteries can reduce  the distance over which a transmission works     18    Make sure that a communication  confirmation appears on the LED indicator  when sending or receiving a signal     Verify that flash and camera equipment  are operating properly     Check for a stuck test button on all  units  including flash devices     Make sure the devices are within  the maximum operating distance of  up to 600 feet  183 meters      Disable sleep mode on your flash  to prevent it from turning off after  a period of not being used        ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY    This Vello product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in mat

10. vers regardless   of the receivers  channel selection  To  activate this function  press the all channel  selector button  To return to individual  channel selection on the transmitter  press  the all channel selector button again and  select individual channel desired using the  up or down channel selector button     12308678       Note  The FreeWave Flash Trigger LR Transmitter  and Receiver will remember the channel setting  selected even when the unit is turned on off   making it easy to return to your selected channel  at your next session     Note  If you encounter any interference on the  initial setting  try changing the channel     11    MOUNTING THE TRANSMITTER    To wirelessly trigger your flash device using  the Vello FreeWave Flash Trigger LR  with  the camera and Flash Trigger LR powered  off  mount the transmitter on the camera   s  hot shoe by sliding the transmitter   s hot   shoe foot into the camera   s hot shoe mount   Turn the transmitter   s tightening ring to  secure the device to the camera  Tilt the  transmitter to achieve a low profile mounting     Select the desired channel on the Transmitter  using the channel selector buttons        12    MOUNTING THE RECEIVER    Note  Make sure your flash and Flash Trigger  LR are turned off before mounting     Mount the receiver to your tripod or stand via  one of the two provided mounting options     1  Threaded socket for a standard  1 4  screw mount    2  Accessory shoe  cold shoe  foot   Mounting a Hot Shoe
