6. e braces This will cause side frames side braces to bend and prevent the walker from locking when opened This may also cause walker to tip or be unstable resulting in injury or damage Wheeled Accessories are only to be used on the front walker legs with the exception of rear wheel brakes DO NOT sit on the crossbar DO NOT use the crossbar as support Exercise caution when walking on sloping surfaces DO NOT use the walker to go up or down stairs DO NOT use the walker on an escalator DO NOT leave or store the walker outside Part No 1167481 3 Dual Release Walkers 3 Usage 3 1 Opening Folding the Walker A WARNING Pinch points exist between the frame tubes when opening and folding the walker Make sure hands and body are clear of all pinch points l Swing both side frames A out away from the front crossbrace B until an audible click is heard and both locking mechanisms C engage A 2 Test the walker by grasping the side frames A and with some force try to fold them inward WARNING BEFORE use both sides of the walker MUST be open and in locked position 3 To fold the walker press down on the locking mechanisms C and fold the side frames A in toward the front crossbrace B 3 2 Installing Adjusting Leg Extensions A WARNING The walker MUST be level before use When using wheeled attachments on the front legs the rear leg extensions MUST be adjusted to make the side frames level P
7. exposed to extreme temperature above 100 F or below 32 F high humidity and or becomes wet prior to use ensure handgrips DO NOT twist on side frame otherwise damage or injury may occur The handgrips MUST be tight Make sure that the accessories are properly installed and securely in place before use Ensure that the rubber tips and or plastic glide tips are not ripped worn or missing Replace the tips as necessary before using walker DO NOT use rubber tips on rear leg extensions when using wheels on the front legs When using glide tips on walker short steps should be taken Glide tips are not recommended for use on rough surfaces concrete gravel etc Glide tips on rear leg extensions should only be used with front wheel attachments DO NOT use glide tips on all four leg extensions at once DO NOT use glide tips and rubber tips at the same time Rear extension legs with rubber tips or plastic glide tips MUST be in contact with floor surface at all times If an even height cannot be achieved adjust the leg extensions so that the rear of the walker is no more than one inch lower than the front Make sure that the user s weight is distributed evenly and directly over the walker The walker is not intended to support the full weight of the user Check that all labels are present and legible Replace if necessary DO NOT hang anything on either the left or right side frames area that includes the release paddles or the left and right sid
