9. ower On off b q Customized Key CO qa Option Key a Back We o o Microphone Home 1 Installing The Battery Open cover as pictured below push the battery in bottom first until in place Next insert the battery cover ensuring the two tabs at the bottom are aligned Finally tighten the two battery cover screws using a coin be careful not to over tighten these 2 Charging Open the phone s USB rubber plug See right picture Insert the data cable to the USB port and begin charging Insert the charger carefully Please ensure you insert the charger the correct way round Do not force the charger into the port Damaged caused to the charger port and or charger is not covered by warranty Once fully charged disconnect the charger and make sure you replace the covering rubber plug to ensure waterproof and dust proof Do not remove battery before disconnecting the charger it may damage the device The following rules help prolong battery life New batteries or long term unused batteries require a full charge before use Do not charge the battery in extreme temperatures After long term use the battery will gradually wear and require longer time to charge this is typical However if the normal talking time is reduced after normal charging or the charging time increases you need to buy a replacement Defender battery If handset has been turned off for a while it may take time for charge screen to appear This is normal al
