3. a dedicated server is supported on Linux and FreeBSD also Go to the Celestial Impact directory and write ci_freebsd or ci_linux use chmod comman celestialimpact com If you want to start Celestial Impact as a daemon write ci_freebsd D or ci_linux D Then the daemon will ask for an rcon password base_rconPassword and which map to play You must use rcon to control a daemon server or there will be no way to communicate with it To remotely control your server from a Celestial Impact client first set base_rconPassword to the correct password on the client and then use the rconIp command rconIp server ip address command rconIp 67 211 257 67 map cross which will change the map the server is running to Cross To change the server name write rconIp lt server address gt sg_name hello world including the two different quotations in that order You can also connect to the server and use the rcon command 7 Options The options menu is divided in four sub regions Game options controls forge controls and system Click the Apply button to save any changes made or the Cancel button to discard changes 7 1 Game Options The game options menu let s you customize game play options that only affect yourself The Name field This text field let s you type in the name you want to be displayed when events tied to your character are displayed It s simply said your gaming nickname Au
4. as possible celestialimpact com 3 1 4 Forge Forge is made as a fun mode just for creating worlds Here each player has some extra functions for the Dirtgun Life and ammunition are also instantly recharged This is made for those that want to run or fly around creating worlds cooperatively or by yourself 3 2 The Deformation of the world The terrain on the asteroid is completely deformable in all directions so the deformation of the world plays a vital role While explosions caused by the grengun cause some holes the most effective way to deform is by using the Dirtgun 3 2 1 The functions of the Dirtgun When switching to the Dirtgun you will see a beam from the Dirtgun ending in a target sphere e Using the primary fire button while aiming the sphere at any terrain will add a chunk of dirt at the target sphere s location e Using the secondary fire button while aiming the sphere on any terrain will remove a chunk letting you dig through the terrain Softer materials are easier to dig through whilst harder materials might take some more effort e tis rumored to exist a super hard material on the asteroid with a molecular structure so complex that even the Dirtgun can t dig through If you happen to come across it try digging around it instead The Dirtgun can be used in various ways like building a bridge over a large gap or digging tunnels through the asteroid or building up a wall to hide behind during intense c

7. k the Create button and you are hosting a server and also playing on it at the same time The other options u i hange some common options celestialimpact com Dedicated Server A dedicated server is a server that you will not be able to play on it a pure server for the game taking up less resources from your computer Only LAN Clients Un checking this allows anybody to connect to your server over the internet Note If you are behind a router or similar you may need to forward port 14666 to your computer for others to find and connect to your server Name The name of the server This is name is the one that will show up in the public server list Password Protects the server with a password Every client wanting to connect to a protected server must provide this password Max Players The maximum number of players allowed on the server at the same time Round Limit How many rounds the crystal must be held within the team to win This option is only available when Crystal Rounds mode is selected Time Limit How many minutes until the map finish and the map restarting Note 0 means unlimited time 6 1 Game Rules Under rules you select which game mode you wish the server to be Death Match Check if you want Death Match mode Crystal Rounds Check if you want Crystal Rounds mode Note this will switch the time limit option to a round limit option Capture the Crystal Check if you want Capture the Crystal

11. pact Another fast way of starting a game is just to select any of the available servers After choosing the Connect menu just select a server from the Public Servers list and then hit the Connect button in the lower right corner 3 Game play Celestial Impact is a team based multiplayer First Person Shooter taking place on an asteroid in space 3 1 Rules Every player starts with a melee weapon a minigun and the special tool Dirtgun Throughout the asteroid several weapon boxes have been scattered by drops from your spaceship Seek them out to further equip yourself with deadlier weapons Use health and armour supplies to keep yourself alive 3 1 1 Crystal Rounds Your team objective is to find and keep the crystal from the enemy While the crystal is in your team s possession your team is awarded with points Kill the enemy crystal carrier and steal the crystal for your team The team that first reaches the point limit default is 100 wins 3 1 2 Capture the Crystal This is also all about the crystal but now each team has a crystal at their own base The team objective is to capture the enemy s crystal and bring it back to your own This will give the team a point and return the enemy crystal to their base The team with the most points after full time wins This is similar to the famous Capture the Flag mode that several games have Crystal instead of a flag 3 1 3 Deathmatch Regular deathmatch any opponents
