1. n K466 a Fitting Kit GB Fitting Instructions for Basic Carrier Revision No 1 1 Fitting Kit K466 First Time Installation Remove parts from packaging and check contents Contact your Prorack dealer if parts are missing or damaged This kit fits type A B C and D These instructions show type A crossbar fitted They also apply to type B C and D ag an g x Tai L Si a la J a n mi DA 7 DI a n a n a Sla x n n A i T D C Use keys to remove covers i Fitting Kit KA66 Use hex screwdriver to reverse adjusting screw 10 turns Press adjusting screw and pull crossbar legs out Refer to the crossbar instructions for crossbar adjustment Ensure each end of the crossbar is adjusted equally Set bars to length refer to the crossbar instructions for crossbar adjustment Xx Please check the rear of this manual for sl information relating specifically to your __ vehicle Fitting Kit KA66 Tighten adjusting screw to 5 Nm Remove clamp block by pressing backwards Select plastic internal block from fitting kit and insert into foot Repeat for all legs Fitting Kit GB K466 Refer to the underside of the pad for the part number Letters refer to the pad part numbers and position Pad Part Number A 11 04 229 B 11 04 230 Fit rubber pads supplied wi2. th fitting kit to foot Pad may vary in shape to that shown Make sure the pad fits into the holes underneath the foot Fitting Kit KA66 eee eS Fitment Open or remove fixed point covers Select four grubscrews and screw them into the vehicle s fixed points Repeat for all four items Place clamp over mounting post Slide clamp into the fixed point ensuring that it is fully engaged Screw grubscrew down onto mounting post Do not over tighten Repeat for all four positions Fitting Kit KA66 Er Place crossbar foot over grubscrews Tighten the red plastic knob The side with the nut showing should be facing up Ensure the red plastic knob is in the position shown when fully tightened Repeat for all four positions Fitting Kit KA66 Check crossbar is securely attached to the vehicle Use keys to fit and lock covers SS CAUTION Recheck all fasteners immediately after a load is applied to the crossbars Regularly check screws are tight
