ONFLRENE SUSTEMS Now you will no longer be able to select Channel 002 from the channel selection menu You may try this out by pressing the SET button once and using the up ordown button to scroll through the available channels frequencies If you press the up button when on Channel 001 you should then see CH 001 CH 003 625 000M 625 500M You may use the same procedure to unlock a channel As an example we now want to unlock Channel 002 Assuming that you have already pressed the SET button three times to enter the channel lock unlock menu press the up ordown button to scroll to Channel 002 When Channel 002 appearson the screen pressthe SET button so that the word DELETED is replaced by the word SELECT Release all buttons and wait forthe default screen to appear Close the battery compartment Complete setup Tum the CT 711 transmitter over so that the LCD screen is face down Press the tabson the back of the unit down into the locked position Tabs up in unlocked position Tabs down in locked position www conferencesystems com Connect microphone Tum the CT 711 transmitter so that you can see the top of the unit mm MICROPHONE FF E ON OFF Set the microphone switch to ON During operation you may set this switch to OFF whenever you wish to mute your microphone Locate the MC 16 lavalier microphone Note that the MC 16 isthe standard micr

13. hat CT 711 and CR 711 units with NIMH battenes installed require an unintenupted 13 hourcharging cycle before use HC 316 charging carmying case 26 Identify and locate the HC 316 charging carrying case You may charge up to 16 units CT 711 transmitter CR 711 receiver using the HC 316 charging carrying case Ensure that only NIMH batteries are installed inside the CT 711 and CR 711 units pnorto charging Ensure that the corect battery type is selected from the battery type selection menu see page 6 Power down the units CT 711 CR 711 by pressing and holding the red button on the left side of the unit until nothing is displayed on the LCD Connect the AC adapterto the DC in slot on the side of the HC 316 Plug the AC powercord into the AC adapterand a wall outlet Place the units CT 711 and or CR 711 into the slots of the HC 316 charging carrying case E PF Li When the units CT 711 and or CR 711 are charging the LED indicators on the units will fash on and off repeatedly The LED will show a steady light when the GE Charging cycle is complete The LED will tum off once the unit is removed from HC 316 charging carmying case Note that CT 711 and CR 711 units with NIMH battenes installed require an uninterupted 13 hour charging cycle before use Note that the HC 316 Is ideal for charging camying and storing CT 711 and CR 711 units The HC 316 must be placed in a carton or container with sufficient packing m
14. he CT 711 transmitter will indicate the current battery level approximately three 3 seconds after the unit Is powered on Note that the corect battery type NIMH or AKLN must be selected from the battery type selection menu in orderto receive an accurate read of the battery level CH 001 CLLLLLLL Battery level at 100 CH 001 bi Se lt Battery level below 50 The LED at the top of the CT 711 transmitter will tum red and blink on and off repeatedly asa waming when the battery level is close to 0 At this point you will have approximately one minute before the CT 711 transmitter automatically powers down www conferencesystems com 11 Transmission radius CR 711 Receiver Setup and Operation Note that the CT 711 transmitter will transmit to CR 711 receivers on the same channel frequency within approximately 100 feet 30 meters Transmission Identify and locate radius and available channels frequencies are subject to frequency traffic in yourarea Note that CT 800 tabletop rack mount unit is available that will transmit up to 300 feet 90 meters Operate more than one transmitter Up to six 6 transmitters may be operated simultaneously within the same transmission radius provided that the following conditions are met e Transmitters and receivers must be at least 3 3 feet 1 meter apart but no more than 100 feet 30 meters apart e Each transmitter must be on a unique channel fre
15. he squelch level before handing out CR 711 receivers to participants at your meeting or event by following the below steps Ensure that the CT 711 transmitter is powered off Locate the CR 711 receiver and ensure that it is powered on Press and release the SET button five times to enter the squelch level menu All units ship with the squelch level set to 01 The following display should appearon the LCD screen SQUELCH LEVEL O1 e Pressand release the up button so that the squelch is set to Level 02 If you no longer hear static release all buttons until the following default display appearson the LCD screen CH 001 e lf you continue to hear static on Level 02 pressthe up button again to advance to a level in which you no longer hear static Troubleshooting cannot hear anything when listening with an earphone or headphone connected to a CR 711 receiver e Ensure that both the CT 711 transmitter and CR 711 receiver are powered on e Ensure that both the CT 711 transmitter and CR 711 receiver are set to the same channel frequency e if you have more than one transmitter powered on ensure that they are on unique channels and that you are operating on the non interference channels frequencies as instructed on page 12 e Ensure that you see a speaker symbol on the screen to the left of the channel TTT Tey 6 omen 22 SYSTEMS If you do not see the speakersymbol you may be expenencing interference on that channel Switch
16. ing the power button until the LCD screen appears blank Ensure that the CR 711 receiver is powered up Press and release the SET button fourtimesto enterthe channel frequency scanning menu Press and release eitherthe up ordown button The receiver will automatically scan through all unlocked channels If the receiver does not detect any transmission signals it will retum to the default screen CH 001 TTT TTT If the receiver does detect a transmission signal it will stop scrolling at the first Signal it detects As an example the receiver detected a signal on Channel 001 625 000 MHz and the following display appeared on the LCD screen MCH OO This means that someone within 100 feet 30 meters isoperating equipment at 625 000 MHz If this isthe case it isimportant that you do not operate the RFS 700 system on this channel frequency Channel 001 625 000 MHz in this example as you will most likely expenence interference You may even want to lock out this channel frequency on both the CT 711 transmitter and CR 711 receiverto ensure that no one accidentally accesses this channel frequency See page 16 for instructions on locking and unlocking channels frequencies It isrecommended that if yourCR 711 receiverdoesdetecta signal you retum to the channel frequency scanning menu and perfom the scan again until the receiver has scrolled through all unlocked channels GE Enable ordisable auto off Press a
