1. ikelite 5516 80 Mirrorless Adapter for 8 inch Dome Instruction Manual Thank you for your purchase of Ikelite equipment Please read this instruction manual completely before attempting to operate or dive with this product Please refer to the back page of this manual to register your Ikelite product What s in the Box Mirrorless Adapter Spare securing screws Silicone Lubricant 1cc Tube Removing Attached Port No tools are needed to remove an existing Port and attach the optional Mirrorless Adapter to your housing Diagram A below 1 Three Securing Screws secure the Port on the Base Turn each Securing Screw counterclockwise so at least 3 to 4 threads are showing 2 Gently lift the existing Port off the Port Base Diagram B Page 3 If the Port seems stuck loosen the Securing Screws another turn or two until the Port can be removed 3 REMOVE the gear sleeve as it cannot be used with the Lens Extension Caution A DO NOT leave the Port off the Port Base for extended periods of time This can result in debris being attracted to the Port Base O ring Diagram B Page 3 resulting in a bad seal Diagram A Ty Securing Screws a Removing Attached Port continued Diagram B Securing Screw 1 m A gt Remove Gear Sleeve if installed Port Base O ring should be lightly wo lubricated

4. e Securing Screws is at the 12 o clock position facing the top of the housing Snugly tighten the three Securing Screws into the Adapter DO NOT overtighten No Securing Screw threads will be visible once the Adapter is properly secured The Adapter can still be rotated on the Port Base once the Securing Screws are tightened this is normal If necessary reorient and replace the Shade so the two large protruding sections are facing the 6 and 12 o clock positions This will reduce or eliminate potential vignetting Loosen the 4 Set Screws in the Dome shade to lift and remove Retighten the Set Screws once the Shade is reattached and reoriented Immerse the housing in a pool or bathtub without a camera installed to check for watertightness Drain Hole Cpe in lat Clockwise to tighten i y Securing Screw Adapter O ring G Set Screw should be lightly lubricated use Ikelite lubricant ONLY Installing the Adapter and 8 inch Dome continued Adapter properly installed Flange should be flush against Base Plate Adapter l E Flange Base Plate wm Oo ce Diagram D g 8 inch Dome A K N FY 4 Fan Diagram E Securing Screw Adapter i Top of Housing Ea Installing the Lens Extension and Port continued Diagram F Shade
5. use g Ikelite lubricant only Installing the Adapter and 8 inch Dome 1 First check to see that there is a thin film of lubricant on the Port Base and Adapter O rings Each O ring should appear slick If necessary relubricate with the supplied Ikelite lubricant Do not use excessive lubricant which can attract hair or other debris Use ONLY Ikelite lubricant 2 Make sure the Port Base and Adapter O rings are free of hair or other debris 3 Liftand REMOVE the gear sleeve from inside the Port Base if applicable Place the Gear Sleeve in storage for later use The gear sleeve must be removed BEFORE using the Adapter 4 Diagram C Securing Screw nstalling the Adapter and 8 inch Dome continued Remove any lens extension that is attached to the 8 inch dome and attach the Adapter by rotating clockwise into the 8 inch dome Base Plate until firmly snug Diagram C below Do not overtighten or the Adapter will be hard to remove Once Adapter is tight flip 8 inch Dome over Turn Adapter Securing Screws counterclockwise so at least 4 or more threads are showing This will allow the Adapter to slide over the Port Base Slide the Adapter over the Port Base until it STOPS Diagram E page 5 When properly installed there should only be an approximate 5 32 or less gap between the bottom of the Adapter and the front of the housing Diagram F page 6 Rotate the Adapter until one of th
