6. ounds the memory field still flickers After writing of a valid 000 255 number the Monitor comes into RUN mode the memory field won t flicker anymore and at the next rea ding the actual data displays in the data field only if it is a cell saved by PIN code Writing of new data modification of data The content of each individual memory cell can be modified in every display mode It can be done by pressing one of the buttons 1 9 Now the reading procedure stops instead of RUN displays STOP and the data field flickers with the value shown before In case of 1 bit B1 form the individual bits can be changed by the number buttons 1 8 above them in other forms B4 B8 B16 the old value can be modified from right to left In 4 bit B4 form the lower 4 1 and the upper 8 5 digits can be changed one by one depending that the RUN mode was stopped by the buttons 1 4 or 5 8 In 8 bit B8 and 16 bit B16 form the modification can happen by the buttons 1 or 1 there the old value can be stepped one by one within the value range responding to the form By continous pressing of the buttons the procedure can be speeded up In case of displaying the numbers with their signs the modification of the sign can be made with Sign button RUN MEM MEM STOP MEM Bl6 16 001 001 _ 044 B8 255 __ 001 The modification can be cancelled while writing data by pressing the Bit button then
7. the monitor returns into RUN mode without modifying the earlier data The writing of new data must be closed by pressing Enter In case of uncorrect numbers for a short time Error displayed and a short beep sounds and the monitor returns to RUN mode without modifying the earlier data The valid number ranges in the display modes are 1 bit B1 O sign for logical level L sign for logical level H 4 bit B4 00 15 MEM 255 __ 213 8 bit B8 000 255 resp 127 127 16 bit B16 00000 65535 resp 32767 32767 In case of a valid value the Monitor writes the new value displayed after the first data transfer after returning into RUN mode to the instrument connected then re reading writes back to the LCD display Not all the memory cells of the individual instruments are writables there are read only ones In that case the re read value remains the earlier one in spite of overwriting Which memory cells are writable or CONNECTION READY read only at which instrument is in the content of the GMS description NUMBER XXX XXXXX of the instrument together with the functions GMS descriptions of the instruments The GMS description of the instruments is a list containing the content of the individual memory cells with interpretation in text of the figures of the LCD display their meaning and that which display mode B1 B4 B8 or B16 is to set for the interpretability of the data Examples Valid Network Addr
