Using the service dialling numbers You can view the list of Service Dialling Numbers SDN assigned by your service provider These numbers include emergency numbers directory enquiries and voice mail numbers 1 When the idle screen displays press the Phonebook soft key 2 Select the SDN option by pressing the Up or Down key and press the z key or Select soft key 3 Scroll through the numbers by using the Up or Down key 4 To dial the number displayed press the 2 key or Dial soft key Note This option is available only when your SIM card supports Service Dialling Numbers Entering text When using your phone you will often need to enter text such as when storing a name in Phonebook creating your personal greeting or scheduling events on your calendar You can enter alphanumeric characters by using your phone s keypad Your phone has the following text input modes T9 mode This mode allows you to enter words with only one keystroke per letter Each key on the keypad has more than one letter for example pressing the 5 key can enter J K or L However T9 mode automatically compares the series of keystrokes you make with an internal linguistic dictionary to determine the most likely word thus requiring far fewer keystrokes than the traditional Alphabet mode Alphabet mode This mode allows you to enter letters by pressing the key labelled with the letter you want Press the key once twice three
