This chapter describes how to install the remote versions of the Queue Manager System Control Panel and Settings Editor on a user PC 113 Introduction 114 The controller applications of the Oc 9600 Queue Manager System Control Panel and Settings Editor are also delivered as remote versions This means that users can access one or more Oc 9600 systems from their own computer Anonymous users can view the status of both their jobs Queue Manager and the entire system System Control Panel This way they can for instance determine which queue is shortest and send their jobs there to avoid lengthy delays From a management point of view the availability of remote versions of the applications is quite useful as well They allow key operators and system administrators to manage multiple Oc 9600 systems from a single location They can centrally monitor the system status and identify potential problems without having to work at the controller itself The remote versions are almost identical to the local applications which are installed on the controller The only difference is that an anonymous user can only use the Abort button of the Queue Manager and the Shut down option on the System Control Panel when he is working locally The key operator system administrator and repro operator can access these functions remotely from their own PC Oc 9600 Copier Printer User Manual Installation procedure Be
