Y YASKAWA DeviceNet Option Card CM053 CM056 CM057 CM058 UO This document applies to the Yaskawa GPD515 GS5 F7 G7 and P7 drives u Unpack the DeviceNet Option CM05x and verify that all components are present and undamaged Check the EPROM label to verify that the DeviceNet Option CMO5x card is the correct card for the drive CM053 46S03318 001x VST80007x CM056 46803318 002x VST80003x CM058 46803318 004x VST80005x DeviceNet Option CM05x Installation Guide IG AFD 14 i UO Connect power to the drive and verify that the drive functions correctly This includes running the drive from the operator keypad Refer to the appropriate drive technical manual for information on connecting and operating the drive u Remove power from the drive and wait for the charge lamp to be completely extinguished Wait at least five additional minutes for the drive to be completely discharged Measure the DC BUS voltage and verify that it is at a safe level QO Remove the operator keypad and drive cover E Remove the operator keypad and loosen any screws on the front of the terminal cover Simultaneously pushing the locking tabs on the bottom right and left sides of the terminal cover inward pull the bottom edge of the terminal cover outward Loosen any screws on the front of the control cover Simultaneously pushing the locking tabs on the bottom right and left sides of the control cover inward pull the bottom edge of the control

7. cover outward The drive control card should be visible E Remove the option card hold down on the left side of the drive case by carefully compressing the top and bottom until it becomes free of its holder Lift it out Mount the DeviceNet Option CMO5x on the drive Align the J1 connector on the back of the DeviceNet Option CMO5x with its mating 2CN connector on the drive control card E Align the three standoffs on the front of the drive control board with the three holes on the right side of the DeviceNet Option CMO5x E Press the DeviceNet Option CM05x firmly onto the drive 2CN connector and standoffs until the J1 connector is fully seated on 2CN and the drive standoffs have locked into their appropriate holes Replace the option card hold down E Connect the ground wire from the ground terminal E on the option card to a ground terminal on the terminal assembly QO Apply power to the drive and verify that the drive functions correctly Mounting the DeviceNet Option on an F7 drive u Connect to the DeviceNet network as shown in the figure to the right i i ee Co p e e o O OUS p K ao amp 45 WR H D morn 3 G R Yaskawa Electric America Inc www drives com IG AFD 14 Page 1 of 4 Date 07 01 04 Rev 04 07 Set the DeviceNet Option CM05x Baud Rate Set the Baud Rate for the DeviceNet Option CMO05x to the network baud rate by setting DIP switches 1 an 2 as shown in the figure
