1. 192 0 0 192 P w 0 192 wwe Set new Console IP 15 128 175 190 192 0 0 HP Secure WEB Console Client host IP 15 128 122 12 2 Final Configuration INTERNET INTRANET Data Center 15 128 175 181 Run browser http 15 128 175 190 O Pre Installation Notes Note You should have obtained an IP address and a subnet mask for the HP Secure Web Console and know the name of the system to be administered Installation Overview The HP Secure Web Console comes with a preconfigured IP address 192 0 0 192 An Initial Configuration step is required to assign the final IP address to the HP Secure Web Console This step requires you to run a web browser from a PC or a Work station called here client host using the http 192 0 0 192 URL to reach the HP Secure Web Console over a LAN connection Note For this initial step your HP Secure Web Console must be on the same physical LAN as the client host no intermediate IP router you may temporarily connect the HP Secure Web Console to your client host s LAN and move it to its final location only after the final IP address has been assigned to it C Hardware Installation A qn LAN cable y E xternal B s power adapter Warning For security reasons do not connect the serial cable diagram C until you have completed the configuration Note Step C should be executed only after the Initial Configuration is completed Ki an Serial2. Navigator versions on your WEB browser enable Java and Java scripts and disable Proxies use no Proxies or temporarily add 192 0 0 192 to the list of URLs for which no proxy is configured 6 Ensure the client host running the browser is on the same IP subnet as the HP Secure Web Console configure the 192 0 0 192 address and add it to the gateway list as follows Enter the following commands into either a DOS or UNIX window on the client_host PC or Workstation where your browser is running to configure the HP Secure Web Console a route add 192 0 0 192 lt client_host IP address gt Example route add 192 0 0 192 15 128 122 12 b ping 192 0 0 192 If ping is successful follow the instructions Step 7 else proceed with Step c below c arp s 192 0 0 192 lt WEB Console MAC address The MAC address of the HP Secure Web Console is marked on the top of the device and also on the box used for shipment Note the MAC address must be entered in the appropriate format as shown below PCs 00 60 b0 22 3e ae UNIX Workstations 00 60 b0 22 3e ae Note During the configuration of your HP Secure Web Console you must configure an IP gateway in the configure IP screen If you do not have a valid IP gateway enter the same IP address as you entered for the HP Secure Web Console 7 Access the device through your Web browser on the same subnet by typing the following URL http 192 0 0 192 8 Follow the instruc
