The finishing touch PREMIUM 34 x 23 Apron Sink KSxxAP 3 5 eA 734 5 THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR NEW INSTALLATION OR FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF AN EXISTING SINK Note If replacing a sink in an existing counter top the sink cutout in the counter top must not exceed 32 or be more than 2174 from the front edge see Fig 1 on page below If the existing cutout exceeds these dimensions then a new counter top is required Measurements are based on 24 deep base cabinet and 25 countertop DO YOU HAVE IMPORTANT Tape measure Carpenter s square Straight edge 3 feet Jig saw or saber saw fine tooth Read installation instructions carefully before starting project Keep instructions for warranty information Do not use plumber s putty May result in product failure Use a high blade grade silicone caulk for all necessary locations Masking tape 3 Two 3 1 2 drains Silicone caulk INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 MEASURING AND CUTTING Tape the countertop surface to be cut to prevent chipping and scratching Mark the position of the cutout on the tape for the sink on your countertop using the dimen sions shown in Fig 1 It is important that surface A Fig 2 is flush with or slightly back from the facia of the cabinet If it is not then the sink s apron will not sit flush against the cabinet It is very important that your cutout is marked at 90 to the front edge of the countertop F

6. ig 2 Double check all of your measurements Cut out the countertop through the tape Your countertop should now look like Fig 1 STEP 2 FITTING Remove fake drawer fronts from the cabinet where the apron will now be located Trial fit your sink into the cutout Make adjustments to the cutout as appropriate The apron should fit flush to the front of the cabinet and should completely conceal any openings for fake drawers Check that the cabinet doors below the sink can open and close freely If there is an interference you have two options 1 The countertop will need to be shimmed higher or 2 The cabinet doors will need to be adjusted lower The sink should sit flat on the countertop A small gap is acceptable as it will be concealed with caulk during installation STEP 3 INSTALLATION Remove sink and tape Use a good grade of silicone caulk and apply a bead under the lip of the sink only where the sink will attach to the countertop It is not necessary on the apron Fig 3 Replace the sink into the cutout ensuring that it is positioned correctly and the apron is pushed firmly up against the face of the cabinet Attach the sink to the countertop with the bolts and clips provided Fig 3 Hand tighten bolts with 3 rotations only IMPORTANT Do not over tighten bolts Sink can be damaged if bolts are over tightened To complete installation apply a bead of color matched or clear silicone caulk aro
7. uctions This warranty excludes normal wear and tear This war ranty shall be voided by improper maintenance contrary to use and care Instructions This warranty does not apply to units installed in commercial or business establishments hotels or apartments Nor does the warranty apply if the unit is moved from its place of initial installation subject to accident abuse or misuse No warranty will apply if the unit is not installed in accordance with the instructions supplied by Lyons Industries Inc local building codes and ordinances or if the care and cleaning instructions have not been followed Any implied warranty of fitness for a particular use or purpose or warranty of merchantability is limited in duration to the express warranty provided herein unless a shorter period is allowed by law Lyons Industries Inc shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages for any damage to building its contents or occupants Some states do not allow limitations of incidental or consequential damages so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you In such a state liability shall be limited to the extent permitted by state law Any claim under this warranty must be made in writing with your original proof of purchase enclosed to Lyons Industries Inc P O Box 88 Dowagiac Michigan 49047 to request performance by Lyons Industries Inc under the terms of this warranty After such notice a prompt investigation of the claim shall be made
