TECHNOLOGIES REFERENCES 4 9 FIRMWARE UPGRADES Device firmware upgrades can be performed using the DL Sm rtSet external Downloader utility tool from your PC either through RS232 or USB communications The procedure for downloading is described in the DL Sm rtSet User s Manual and in the Help window A special case occurs when using USB communications to upgrade devices without button trigger Procedure For devices WITHOUT button trigger Launch the Downloader tool from the DL Sm rtSet folder on your PC Connect the device to the PC via USB interface Read the code given below to emulate the trigger press Trigger Press The device will automatically be reset Proceed with the firmware upgrade see the DL Sm rtSet User s Manual for details 119 Delfi DELFISCAN C80 A HOST CONFIGURATION STRINGS In this section we provide a description of how to modify the device configuration using serial strings sent from the Host This method requires either the RS232 or USB COM interface The device configuration can be changed by receiving commands from the Host through the serial interface When this method is used the programming sequence format is the following Command CR Carriage return character 0D Hex EL and Save configuration Character sequence in following tables Enter configu ration environment Example Multiple command programming sequence Action
