10. ing we took a taxi to Cowes and enjoyed a couple of pints 9 while watching all the tourists before a Chinese meal followed by a large ice cream to top off the evening before back to base Next morning we caught the 8am fer ry to Sorrento When I caught up with Trevor at the circuit camp ground he had already pitched his tent On Saturday we had a good look around pit lane area and saw bikes ranging from very desirable to very ordinary The riders came in all shapes and sizes Agostini took out an MV 4 for two 3 lap demo runs what a lovely sound would have liked Ago s autograph but the queue was so long I gave ita miss He is one year younger than me Ago is 70 Ed but he has kept his good looks Trevor and I were rather disappointed by the lack of spectators but in the bike park we saw some classic road bikes and some especially nice Moto Guzzis We were please to meet up with several other COMCC members Saturday night we attended the dinner with nearly seven hundred guests for Ago and the Captains of the four national teams England NZ USA and 13 Rudy amp Trevor Australia that were vying for the Special Trophy The highlight was Alan Cathcart s hour long interview with Agostini who was really enjoying it It was a very pleasant way to end a lovely day especially as the drinks were free Saturday night some rain fell but as P Sunday dawned the weather promised to be good A good breakfast then

13. me great stories thanks for the hospitality Ken and Christiana Two immaculate Suzukis Kym s SP 370 amp Bruce s A m i Mid Week Runs aren t just sitting on bikes and drinking coffee Part 1 of Mick Morris s ISLE OF MAN TT RACES or being there is so much better than watching replays on television My partner Julie and had always been fans of motorcycle racing and had often watched the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy races on TV We marvelled at the riding skills and courage of the competitors and were amazed at the degree of spectator access particularly con sidering current WHS rules On the island a length of yellow safe ty tape across a driveway or road stopped spectators from entering the race line We made it to the 2011 TT and added a tour of Ireland and some travelling in England The 2011 loM visit was so exciting and successful that we decided to return in 2012 for the TT week For this second visit was accepted as a TT race marshal was dreaming and we added three MotoGPs Silverstone Assen Sachsenring and World Ducati Week Ducati Museum to the itinerary The Isle of Man is located in the Irish Sea between the west coast of Eng land and east coast of Ireland The island is accessible by aircraft and the loM Steam Packet ferry As the TT is conducted on normal island roads which are closed to the public during race times one of my duties as mar shal would

15. ood Park all types and makes of motorcycles aciconie 0404209231 Meet at 9 30am for a 10am start Club Captain Garry continued to lead popular rides over the last quarter in cluding a hills ride taking in a visit to a Custom Vehicles show in December and a cruise criss crossing the Murray The most popular run judging by feedback from participants was the breakfast run to Kersbrook The club joined other riders to travel to Kersbrook and enjoy a hearty breakfast for 10 and have the satisfaction of having contributed 300 toward the fund to renovate the Kersbrook Public Hall Good one Garry 1 Wednesday of the month 3 Tuesday of the month Ride destination decided on the day This quarter s runs began with a continuation of birthday celebrations with Bruce OBE leading a great run through the Barossa to Lyndoch for lunch finishing at Bills in Birdwood thanks for the ice cream Bruce Rob s Triumph was an early retirement for 2012 s last ride and missed a great ride through Upper Sturt and lunch at Yankalilla By the first run of 2013 the Triumph had acquired a reconditioned magneto and was thundering into the New Year as we blasted up to Angaston for lunch in perfect riding weather The hot spell caught up with us in February and was one of those who sloped off home after morning tea and left the hard men to continue For the final February ride Ken led us on a twisty jaunt through the Hills to his place to enjoy a BBQ A great day and so
