Loosely mount lamps supplied with kit or those purchased separately to horizontal mounting beam with ALTA logo facing forward and readable from the front of the vehicle Using lamp assembly as a guide mark holes in bumper skin where L brackets come through NOTE Check clearance from all facets of lamps beam etc prior to final determination of holes Light bar should be mounted as low as possible to ensure light do not hit upper portion of bumper These holes will need to be approx 3 4 in diameter and exactly 16 5 apart from centerline of each hole Take time with aligning light bar assembly to bumper beam this will pay off for final installation Diagram shows completely assembled ALTA light bar from behind Horizontal Mounting Beam and Struts shown above Installation 1 2 Remove bumper cover Locate lower pop it connectors screws at the top of bumper cover and screws behind side markers See factory service manual for specific bumper skin removal instructions Remove beam and set beam back into bumper skin See factory service manual for specific bumper beam removal instructions Using holes made in bumper skin place L brackets on bumper beam and through holes in bumper skin Mark 4 holes to be drilled through bumper beam Separate bumper skin from bumper beam Drill 4 7 16 holes marked in step 4 completely through both sides of the bumper beam Using supplied hardware mount each2. L bracket to bumper beam See picture below Bumper beam and struts in place and ready for bumper skin 7 Re connect bumper skin to bumper beam 8 Temporarily mount horizontal beam with lamps to L brackets and bumper assembly to final check all clearances Once satisfied tighten all mounting hardware Re install bumper beam to chassis 9 Follow wiring instructions included with lamp kit and bring wiring to desired location behind bumper area 10 With the help of an assistant connect wiring to lamps and re attach bumper lamp assembly to vehicle Use care not to pinch or damage wiring during this process as this can cause a short in the wiring 11 Using supplied cable ties secure all wiring away from moving parts etc 12 Double check all connections and mounting hardware prior to proceeding 13 Loosen lamp mounts and aim lamps per lamp manufacturers instructions 14 Clearance of light with bumper is important to avoid damage to paint if lights are mounted to high they will hit the bumper To lower lights simply drill new holes or oval out existing holes S PARTS TO GO WITH YOUR Rally Lamp Kit ALTA Shorty or Super Shorty Antenna ALTA Version 2 0 15 17 or 19 reduction Supercharger pulley e ALTA 2 5 or 3 Catback exhaust For questions amp comments please contact TECH ALTAMINIPERFORMANCE COM 503 222 MINI AIM contacts SALESALTA and ALTAPERRIN
