7. nsed CHANGING A BROKEN SHEAR DISK Unplug the power cord Empty the hopper of beans Take out the thumb screws 9 to remove the housing cover 10 A UNa Pull out the grinding burr feed worm assembly 3 The mating half of the grinding burr set remains within the housing Separate the shear cap 6 and shear drive 4 The snapped shear disk 5 should fall from the shear drive Inspect and brush out the housing 1 Especially look for anything that could have broken the shear disk Insert the feed worm and grinding burr onto the motor shaft Push the shear drive through the burr feed worm assembly and align it with the tongue on the motor shaft O CON OA Rotate the burr feed worm assembly to align the slot with narrow slot on shear drive 10 Insert a new shear disk into the slot Cover with the shear cap 1 O Replace the grind cap and two thumb screws Cleaning the Coffee Grinder FN CAUTION Unplug the grinder from the electrical power source Do not use cleansers bleach liquids powders or any other substance containing chlorine These products promote corrosion and will pit the stainless steel USE OF THESE PRODUCTS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY Brush coffee grounds from the dispensing spout Wipe off the surrounding area Make a mild cleaning solution Mix dish washing liquid in warm water Avoid spilling liquid into the grind housing Wipe exterior surfaces with a cloth moistened with cle
8. ort at 800 995 0417 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS E FRESH GROUND COFFEE FRESH GROUND COFFEE v i Q ID Place a new paper fil ter into the brew cone and insert the brew cone into the basket holder arms on the grinder 1 Lift open the top cover 2 of the grinder and fill with fresh whole bean coffee 3 On the right side of the grinder press the grind switch The grinder will start It will Close the cover stop at the set volume Make sure the mo tor comes to a stop before removing the brew cone FOR THE LATEST SPECIFICATIONS AND INFORMATION GO TO WWW WILBURCURTIS COM ADJUSTING THE GRINDS 1 Empty the hopper of coffee beans Run the grinder for a short time to clear grinding burrs of coffee 2 Open the housing cover 10 to locate the adjustment screw 8 and lock nut 7 With a wrench loosen the lock nut 3 Turn the adjustment screw clockwise for a finer grind Turn the screw counter clockwise for a more coarse grind With the motor running pour coffee beans into the hopper and turn the screw to make the adjustment If you hear the grinding burrs starting to touch immediately back off 1 8th turn 4 When the desired grind texture is satisfactory hold the adjustment screw in place with the screwdriver and tighten the locknut 5 Grind some coffee beans to confirm the adjustment 6 Replace front cover on machine This adjustment may change the amount of ground coffee dispe
9. rtis Company will not accept any responsibility if the following conditions are not met The warranty does not cover and is void under the following circumstances 1 Improper operation of equipment The equipment must be used for its designed and intended purpose and function 2 Improper installation of equipment This equipment must be installed by a professional technician and must comply with all local electrical mechanical and plumbing codes 3 Improper voltage Equipment must be installed at the voltage stated on the serial plate supplied with this equipment 4 Improper water supply This includes but is not limited to excessive or low water pressure and inadequate or fluctuating water flow rate 5 Adjustments and cleaning The resetting of safety thermostats and circuit breakers programming and temperature adjustments are the responsibility of the equipment owner The owner is responsible for proper cleaning and regular maintenance of this equipment 6 Damaged in transit Equipment damaged in transit is the responsibility of the freight company and a claim should be made with the carrier 7 Abuse or neglect including failure to periodically clean or remove lime accumulations Manufacturer is not responsible for variation in equipment operation due to excessive lime or local water conditions The equipment must be maintained accord ing to the manufacturer s recommendations 8 Replacement of items subject to normal use and wear
