IR3 1 FUEL CONVERSION INSTRUCTIONS ENSURE THE UNIT IS COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION TO AVOID DANGER OF SUFFOCATION KEEP THE PACKAGING BAG AWAY FROM BABIES AND CHILDREN DO NOT USE IN CRIBS BED CARRIAGES OR PLAY PENS THIS BAG IS NOT A TOY KNOT BEFORE THROWING AWAY A Turn off the gas supply to the appliance B Remove the front then the door from the appliance by releasing the top two door latches tilt the door forward and lift from slots C Remove the logs and panels from the appliance D Remove the log support from the appliance by removing the 5 screws that secure it in place refer to Figure 1 E Remove the burner from the appliance by removing the 4 screws that secure it in place refer to Figure 2 F Remove the main burner orifice and replace with the orifice supplied in the manual baggie Use pipe thread compound G Adjust the air shutter opening to 1 16 for Natural Gas or 3 8 for Propane H To convert the main valve to the desired fuel remove the conversion plug using a screwdriver Remove the plastic tip on the plug stem and rotate 180 degrees refer to Figure 3 Re secure the plastic tip to the stem plug it will click into place Reinstall the conversion plug into the valve l Remove the min rate screw and replace with the one supplied NOTE The min rate screw conversion plug and conversion tab locations are illustrated in Figures 4 amp 5 J Loosen the pilot hood by turni
