7. hat there are no disconnecting switches open upstream of the BYPASS 15 Switch on the UPS follow the instructions in the UPS user manual 16 Set the SWITCH to UPS check that the green light is on If it is not check that the UPS is switched on and check all connections to the UPS 17 4 USE OF THE BYPASS 4 4 Instructions to be followed in the event of UPS maintenance Instructions to be followed when the UPS has to be replaced repaired or serviced g Set the SWITCH to the MAINS position h Switch the UPS off i Disconnect the UPS j Reconnect the new repaired UPS k Switch the UPS on l Setthe SWITCH to the UPS position With the SWITCH in the MAINS position any mains disturbance will affect the load powered by the BYPASS This means that the load will not be powered in the event of a mains power failure even with the UPS on 4 2 Limitation of use of the BYPASS The BYPASS can power several loads at the same time provided that the total current supplied is less than 16A If the BYPASS is connected to a UPS of smaller size for example a 2kVA UPS the load can absorb up to 9A without the UPS going into overload or into protection mode 5 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTIONS The plug is not inserted properly Check that the plug is inserted in the socket correctly The lights on the front panel The socket where the BYPASS is la ld been triggered upstream of
