14. 2 Creating a shortcut When FD S1w has been installed a shortcut to FD S1w is registered on the desktop and on the Windows Start menu for Windows 8 the Shortcut is registered on the Start screen To place a shortcut in another location create the shortcut with Windows Explorer or another program 3 To uninstall Windows XP and Windows 7 1 Click the Start button Select Settings Control Panel and double click the Add Remove Programs icon 2 Select FD S1w from the list of Change or Remove Programs and click the Change Remove button 3 Adialog box that enables you to change correct or delete programs opens Select Delete and click Next 4 When the file deletion confirmation dialog box opens click OK The uninstall program will start 5 When the uninstall process is completed click Complete Windows 8 1 Right click in the lower left corner of the screen Click Programs and Features on the menu that appears Select FD S1w and then click Uninstall Adialog box for confirming that you want to uninstall the application appears Click Yes Adialog box for confirming that you want to update the software appears Click Yes The uninstall program starts Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstall process PON Connection Connect the FD 7 or FD 5 to the PC For details about connecting the instrument to
