6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS POWER SOURSES Dry cell batteries Insert the two R6 LR6 UM 3 batteries When the batteires are weak OPR BATT indicator will dim or turn off AC adaptor Connect the AC adaptor RP AC31A optional to the DC IN jack Before operation Connect the included stereo headphones into the Q jack Move the HOLD to prevent the unwanted operation switch to release the hold state TAPE PLAYBACK 1 Open the cassette holder to turn the screw to OPEN and insert the tape Then close the holder and turn the screw to LOCK 2 Set the TAPE selector 3 Press lt gt 4 Adjust the VOLUME To close the cassette holder Turn the screw to LOCK until it locks with the cassette holder pushed against the unit To stop the playback Press I To remove the cassette Open the holder and slide up the cassette To fast forward and rewind Press lt lt or BP button The tape will rapidly move in the direction of the arrow 44 Fast forward for the forward side gt Rewind for the forward side To change the tape direction Press DIR button to select the playback side RADIO 1 Release the HOLD state 2 Press RADIO ON OFF button 3 Press FM AM MODE button to select the band 4 Press or button to select the radio station 5 Adjust the VOLUME To stop the radio Press RADIO ON OFF button
