12. mental limits Make sure the blade is completely dry and there is no moisture on any surface before applying power Blade Overheating and Blade Damage Operating the blade without forced air cooling may lead to blade overheating and thus blade damage When operating the blade make sure that forced air cooling is available in the shelf When operating the blade in areas of electromagnetic radiation ensure that the blade is bolted on the system and the system is shielded by enclosure Injuries or Short Circuits Blade or power supply ATCA 7475 Safety Notes Summary 6806800S29D 7 Safety Notes In case the ORing diodes of the blade fail the blade may trigger a short circuit between input line A and input line B so that line A remains powered even if it is disconnected from the power supply circuit and vice versa To avoid damage or injuries always check that there is no more voltage on the line that has been disconnected before continuing your work Spread Spectrum Clocking SSC Spread Spectrum Clocking SSC is a frequency modulation technique used to reduce EMI radiation of the board For this the frequency of the system clocks including the PCle clocks can be modulated by 0 to 0 5 from nominal frequency In case of EMI radiation issues it is recommended to enable SSC through BIOS configuration Switch Settings Battery Blade Malfunction Switches marked as reserved might carry production related functions and can cau
