ECHNOLOGIES 4 Operation Prior to commissioning make sure that e the device is operated within its specifications e all tubes and electric fittings are not damaged and mounted correctly e no part of the sample gas pump is demounted e g cover e the inlet and outlet tubes of the sample gas pump are not closed e the pre pressure is below 0 5 bar 7 25 psi e the ambient parameters are not exceeded e the data on the rating plate comply with the application e the voltage and frequency of the motor coincide with the mains e all electrical connections are tightened and all safety and monitoring devices are installed and con nected according to the regulations e the cooling surfaces are clean e the equipment is earthed and duly protected e the motor is properly fastened e the terminal box cover is closed and the grommets are properly sealed The sample gas pump is designed for feeding gases only It is not suitable for delivering liquids The sample gas pump should be operated without any pre pressure A pressure above 0 5 bar 7 3 psi is not allowed The gas outlet must be open The minimum flow rates per pump head are given in the follow ing table minimum flow rate per pump head 50 I h 13 GPH 200 l h 53 GPM Install a by pass to control the flow volume if the delivered volume is limited to a minimum threshold flow rate during continuous operation The limiting values are given in the following table flow
