4. 2 Select Programs 3 Pictures The pictures in My Plctures display To select pictures in another folder select the drop down menu next to My Pictures then tap the folder you want displayed 4 the picture you want to edit The photo displays and the following options are available Tap to rotate a picture 90 degrees counter clockwise 100 p to crop a picture by dragging and selecting the crop area Tap outside of the box to stop cropping Tap P to display the Zoom panel from which you can zoom in or out of a picture or return a picture to full screen size These icons af a ot a are used to adjust the brightness and contrast levels of a picture To display these icons tap Edit then select Brightness and Contrast from the pop up menu Camera settings The camera settings listed in the following table are available To open the camera settings 1 Tap Start located in the upper left corner of the screen 2 Tap Camera then tap Settings Setting Function Allows you to select the desired image The Size choices are 640x480 320x240 and 160x120 The smaller the image size the smaller the image file size Qualit Allows you to select the quality of the image The y choices are Normal Fine and Best White Allows you to select the white balance or how balan bright the image The choices are Auto Daylight arance CoolWhite Horizon TL84 and Incandescent A

Noo 8 A Standard Partnership synchronizes data between your i700 and PC Synchronization ensures that all relevant data is updated and is the best method for using your i700 along with your PC to keep files up to date and stay connected A Guest Partnership simply transfers files between your i700 and PC Select the desired partnership and click Next Select how you want to synchronize data and click Next Enter a unique name for your device and click Next Select or deselect the desired applications that you wish to synchronize then click Next Click Finish The i700 and the PC should perform the first ActiveSync This may take some time depending on the amount of information that needs to be synchronized ActiveSync 29 ActiveSync via IR If you need to use ActiveSync and don t have a cable you can use the IR port 1 On the PC launch the ActiveSync application 2 Click File and select Connection Settings 3 Click the check box next to Allow serial cable or infrared connection to this COM port 4 Click the drop down arrow and select Infrared Port IR 5 Click OK to close the window 6 On the i700 tap Start located in the upper left corner of the screen 7 Tap ActiveSync 8 Tools and select Connect via IR 9 Aim the two devices at one another 30 Personal Settings Personal settings allows you to configure the following options which allow you to control the look and

Ring tone options such as Vibrate Vibrate and ring or Vibrate then ring 1 Start located in the upper left corner of the screen 2 Tap Settings then tap the Personal tab 3 Phone 4 the drop down arrow next to Ring type and select one of the Vibrate options or select None 5 Tap to exit You can also quickly change or adjust the ringer setting by tapping the icon when the phone screen is displayed Select Vibrate or adjust the system and or phone volumes 52 Messaging The i700 is capable of sending e mail and text messages To send e mail using ActiveSync you ll first need to install ActiveSync to your PC and then create a Standard Partnership To send e mail direct configure the i700 to connect with your existing Internet Service Provider s POP3 server Send text messages by simply entering the phone number of the recipient in the To lt gt field of the message composer when creating a new message Inbox All incoming messages arrive and are stored in the Inbox until deleted If memory is full new messages are rejected Delete older messages to free up space for incoming messages The Inbox has three sub menus at the bottom of the screen labeled New Tools and Accounts The following sections cover each of these sub menus in more detail New Use the New sub menu to compose and send a new e mail or text message Send a text message by entering the phone number of your recipie
