Operating Instructions for SOR R Direct Reading Dosimeter and Alarming Rate Meter This is a combination DRD and Alarming Rate Meter and will replace your pen type DRD and your alarming rate meter How to turn on Push and release on off button display should say C HAnGE Push and hold on off button for approximately 3 seconds release display should say EnTER Push and release on off button DRD will beep and display d 0 0 mrem DRD is now turned on and ready for use How to turn off Push and hold on off button until display says C HAnGE continue holding until display says G O OUt then release button quickly This will take approximately 9 12 seconds Ifthe on off button is not release fast enough it will not shut off How to reset zero dose To zero to dose reading turn off the DRD when it is turned back on it will be zeroed Notes The on off button is stiff when the DRD is new but will loosen up as it is used If the case becomes damaged the DRD is un useable send it back to the warehouse if anything happens to the DRD If sensor is scratched or damaged it will not work properly Do not push on the sensor or cover it to protect it as it will not give you and accurate dose reading Alarming rate meter will beep continuously when in a 200mR field and chirp every couple seconds when in a low mR field Chirp frequency will increase as mR field increases 9 10 08 JFL ee2.
