8. oduce bolt head into bolt head carrier Position bolt head so that extractor points to the right in direction of fire Introduce firing pin into bolt head desired 15 and recess for bolt handle is positioned as shown a Powerfully depress bolt catch lever and po sition towards the top CALIBER EXCHANGE Push safety slide backwards to SAFE as far as it will go al Insert magazine desired and close trigger guard F Insert bolt assembly pulling trigger in the process Safety slide forward as far as it will go Close bolt Pull trigger 16 SIGHTS TELESCOPIC SIGHT MOUNT Open sights In its basic version the KR 1 is equipped with an open square notch rear sight Telescopic sight mount The assembly bracket for the special teles copic sight mount is located right on the ba rrel root Mounting of the telescopic sight mount by engaging the two left lugs into the slots provided Rotaing the two levers forwards the teles copic sight mount permanently locks the telescopic sight mount after engagement These may be loosened again by pressing the catches on the levers The telescopic sight mount may then be removed 17 In order to set the torque on the two levers the screws on the left side have to be un done The screws behind these may be used to set the torque SPECIFICATIONS 9 Standard calibers 223 Rem 222 Rem 243 Win 6 5x555E 7x64
9. rd 5 Magazine SUBASSEMBLIES 2 LOADING OF THE SHORT REPEATING RIFLE 3 1 3 1 Cartridges Withdraw latch Trigger guard opens to wards the bottom Depress safety plate Take safety slide to central position In the rear Use bolt handle to close bolt Insert maga Remove magazine and load 3 cartridges zine Close trigger guard Move bolt handle upwards then rearwards The firearm is ready to fire LOADING OF THE SHORT REPEATING RIFLE 3 2 3 Cartridges Erd Withdraw latch Trigger guard opens to Insert magazine and close trigger guard i wards the bottom Depress safety plate Take safety slide to central position d Use bolt handle to close bolt i d Remove magazine and load 3 cartridges The firearm is ready to fire 6 Move bolt handle upwards then rearwards PUTTING ON SAFE AND TAKING THE SAFETY OFF 4 In the SAFE position Safety slide all the way to the rear the bolt handle is blocked In order to take the safety off push the sa fety slide forwards as far as 1t will go The red dot signals Ready to fire The three cartridges may also be loaded without the magazine being removed Standard trigger The trigger may now be pulled in the nor mal way or the set trigger set by pushing Set trigger set forward on the trigger UNLOADING THE REPEATING RIFLE In order to undo the set trigger first move the safety slid
