15.   07 18   Drive out the  clevis pin  07 19  to release the body of the actuator from the bed     c  Drive out the second clevis pin  07 19  from the actuator ram and  remove the height actuator from the bed     7 11 2 Installation    a  Position the height actuator  07 17  on the bed with the actuator body  towards the centre of the bed     b  Fit a clevis pin  07 19  to attach the actuator body to the sub frame  fabrication  07 1  and secure with a new starlock washer  07 18      c  Use the hoist to raise or lower the mattress platform to align the hole in  the actuator ram with the fixing bracket on the radius arm  07 2   Fit the    7 10 746 436 2  01 07    clevis pin  07 19  to attach the actuator ram to the radius arm and secure  with a new starlock washer  07 18    d  Refer to Subsection 7 1 1  Connect the cable to the actuator   make sure    the connector is fully seated in the socket  Refit the cable clip to the  actuator body     7 12 Backrest Actuator     Replacement    7 12 1 Removal    a  Refer to Subsection 7 1 1  Detach the cable clip from the backrest  actuator  05 12  and unplug the actuator cable     b  Ifthe backrest is raised  use the hoist to support it  Prise off and discard  two starlock washers  05 25   Drive out two clevis pins  05 14  to  release the actuator from the bed     7 12 2 Installation    a  Position the actuator  05 12  on the bed  Use a clevis pin  05 14  to  attach the body of the actuator to the sub frame assembly  05 2  and  secure with

Plug the extension cable into the junction box  11 16   and replace the retaining strip     D Replace the two mounting bracket covers  27 4  27 5  and the cable  cover  27 3   Secure with two screws  27 9      7 15 746 436 2  01 07    7 16 ACP Extension Cable     Replacement    7 16 1 Removal    a  Remove the ACP  26 7  as given in Subsection 7 9 1  Remove two  screws  26 9   remove the two mounting bracket covers  26 4  26 5   and the cable cover  26 3      b  Undo four socket head screws  26 11  and two countersunk screws  26   8   Carefully pull the safety side moulding  26 1  off the safety side arm  assembly  26 2   and pull the extension cable  28 30  out through the  bottom of the safety side moulding     c  Remove the retaining strip from the junction box  11 16  and unplug the  extension cable  Undo the hex head screw  25 12  and collect one  washer  25 11  to release the P clip  25 13   Pull the P clip off the  extension cable     d  Undo two screws  27 9  and remove two mounting bracket covers  27   4  27 5   Prise off the cable cover  27 3      e  Undo three panhead screws  28 29   two countersunk screws  28 26   and lift up the safety side lower arm cover  28 3      f  Mark the positions of the two cable clamps  28 22  on the extension  cable  Undo the two screws  28 25   remove and retain the cable clamps  and screws  Unwind the cable support spring  28 16  from the extension  cable and remove it             Pull out the pivot locating pin  28 15   Use the hoi

Replace the cable guide  28 19  with the extension cable  behind it  Drive the lower arm pivot pin  28 11  back into place and  replace the pivot locating pin  28 15   making sure it engages with the  hole in the lower arm     e            Attach the two cable clamps  28 22  at their marked positions on the  extension cable and secure with two screws  28 25   Install the  extension cable in the labyrinth on the inner face of the lower arm  28   4   ensuring that the lower cable clamp  28 22  is correctly positioned     f  Wind the cable support spring  28 16  onto the extension cable  Hook  one end of the spring over the safety side mounting bracket  28 5  and  insert the other through the small hole in the upper cable clamp  28 22    The extension cable should be under slight tension but not strained             Install    lower        cover  28 3         secure with two countersunk  screws  28 26  and three panhead screws  28 29   Before proceeding   check that the safety side release mechanism operates satisfactorily     h  Thread the extension cable up through the safety side moulding  26 1   and out of the top  Install the safety side moulding on the safety side  assembly  26 2  and secure with four socket head screws  26 11  and  two countersunk screws  26 8   Refit the ACP  26 7  as given in  Subsection 7 9 2     D Fit the P clip  25 13  on to the extension cable and secure with a hex  head screw  25 12  and washer  25 11   Make sure the extension cable  runs freely 
18.
