11. crews safe for later use Remove the four M3 x 8 screws securing the node electronics assembly to the back box and separate the electronics assembly from the back box taking care not to foul any of the components on the top or bottom lip of the back box Keep the screws safe for later use Determine the most suitable position for cable entry and drill a hole in the back box for cable entry Ensure that the hole allows cables to enter the box without fouling any components within the box when the node is fitted Ensure that the back box is level by placing a spirit level on top of the box and mark the four fixing holes Drill four 5mm fixing holes in the wall and secure the back box to the wall using M6 screws and suitable wall fixings Secure the conduit to the back box and leave the cables in the back box ready for connection Remove four M3 x 8 Screws Fit Back Box to Wall Remove Node Assembly Flush Mounting 1 6 7 8 The Model 65110 and 65111 Nodes are suitable for flush wall mounting In this case a facia plate Strand Part No 65113 should have been ordered with each node Prepare the wall by cutting a square hole 114 x 114mm 4 5 in x 4 5 in by 110mm 4 34 in deep Remove the node electronics assembly from the back box as described above Determine the most suitable position for cable entry and drill a hole in the back box for cable entry Ensure that the hole allows cables to enter the box without fouling any
12. de into the slot in the dimmer rack and secure using the screws removed from the blanking plate 65112 OEM Boards A version of the SN110 Node comprising the main PCB and the display unit is available for users of non standard products It is the responsibility of the user to determine how best to install these items in their equipment As part of this responsibility they will be required to ensure that the method used to install the units complies with the applicable National Safety and EMC requirements Power to the 65110 Node can be supplied over the Ethernet Network at the standard Power Over Ethernet PoE voltage of 48V DC PoE technology enables Ethernet nodes to be fitted without the time and cost required to install separate power cabling Using PoE the SN110 nodes can reliably receive data and power over a single standard Category 5 cable Power is injected into the Ethernet cable between the hub and the outgoing network cables to the SN110 Nodes using a PoE Mid Span Insertion Unit as shown The 65110 Node is IEEE 802 3af compliant and will provide the following features when connected to IEEE 802 3af compliant Ethernet Power Sourcing Equipment PSE e The PSE will only switch on power to a IEEE 802 3af compliant node The PSE will not switch on power to the node if it is already powered by other means e The PSE will detect faults on the ethernet cable and will switch off the power in the event of a short circuit The 65
13. enter the IP Address 192 168 0 150 and Subnet Mask 255 255 255 0 7 Click OK to finish and restart your PC OORUN New network nodes are configured at the factory with common default values It is therefore necessary to change the network configuration for each node before it is installed on the network It is logical that the configuration of the DMX ports and the LCD setting should be done at the same time and each SN110 Node labelled with its IP Address ready for installation in the appropriate back box or SLD Dimmer Rack The default Network Configuration of all SN110 Nodes is as follows e Node Name SN110_71 e IP Address 192 168 0 71 e P Netmask 255 255 255 0 e P Gateway 0 0 0 0 Select the Network configuration page as follows 1 Using a standard 24V DC power supply connect the supply via a Molex Type KK socket to the 24V DC input plug on the node main board 2 With the SN110 Node connected to the PC Ethernet port via a standard Ethernet Crossover Cable open the browser window and enter the default IP Address of the SN110 Node http 192 168 0 71 to display the LCD DMX Configuration Window 3 Scroll down the page and select the Network configuration Link to display the Network Configuration Page shown below Configuring the Network The Network can be configured as follows e Node Name A unique identifier character string of up to eight characters This can be any name used to identify the node on the network
