Operating Instructions Vacuum cleaner e Release cord from appliance and plug in at the mains ensuring any knots in cord are untied e For upright vacuums place foot on the front head of the appliance and pull handle back For the Henry or portable vacuum take hold of the nozzle Switch on by pressing the on off button Push vacuum nozzle around required area in a backwards forwards motion To switch off appliance press the on off button or turn off at the mains plug gt LLI LL lt Y am O gt lt LLI aE am O gt Safety e To replace vacuum bag please ask a member of staff e When storing your vacuum ensure cord is wrapped around appliance correctly and securely e Only use vacuum cleaner indoors e NEVER use vacuum cleaner on liquids or wet surfaces of any kind e DO NOT vacuum up hard or sharp objects such as glass nails coins etc e DO NOT vacuum up flammable or combustible materials such as matches cigarette butts burning objects lighter fluid etc If you are still unclear on the use of any appliance please speak to a member of staff If any appliance does not work NEVER try to fix it yourself always report it to reception And remember NEVER turn on an appliance and leave it unattended CARDIFF UNIVERSITY PRIFYSGOL AE pina m m m m m C RD D www cardiff ac uk livinginresidences
