The unit may be transported and stored in vertical or horizontal position Make sure that it cannot roll or fall over For longer periods of storage the unit should be protected against moisture frost or heat 5 Electrical Connection 5 1 General instructions Before operation an expert check must secure that the required electrical protection measures exist The connection to ground earthing isolating transformer fault current breaker or fault voltags circuit must corre spond to the guidelines set forth by the responsible power plant 14 N ne voltage required in the technical data sheet must correspond to the existing line voltage Make sure that the electrical pin and socket connec tions are installed flood and moisture safe Before start ing operation check the cable and the plug against dam ages AN ne end of the pump power supply cable must not be submerged in order to prevent water from penetrating through the cable into the motor The normal separate motor starter control box of standard as well as of explosion proof pumps must not be installed in explosive enviroments The electrical connection of the pump should be carried out in accordance with local requirements The operating voltage and frequency are marked on the pump and controller nameplates Voltage tolerance 6 up to 10 of the voltage stated on the nameplates Make sure that the lifting station is suitable for the elec tricity supply avail

Betriebsanleitung enthaltenen Sicherheitshinweise sind mit Sicherheitszeichen nach DIN DIN 4844 besonders gekennzeichnet Sicherheitshinweis Bei Nichtbeachtung kann die Pumpe und deren Funktion beeintr chtigt werden Allgemeines Gefahrensymbol Personen k nnen gef hrdet werden A Warnung vor elektrischer Spannung Direkt auf der Anlage angebrachte Sicherheitshinweise m ssen unbedingt beachtet und in vollst ndig lesbarem Zustand gehalten werden 1 4 Sicherheitshinweise Gefahren bei Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinwei se Die Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann folgende Gefahren nach sich ziehen z B Gef hrdung von Personen durch elektrische mechanische und chemische Einwirkungen Versagen wichtiger Funktionen der Pumpe oder Anlage Sicherheitshinweise f r den Betreiber Bediener In Abh ngigkeit der Betriebsbedingungen sind durch Verschlei Korrosion oder alterungsbedingt die Lebensdauer und damit die spezifizierten Eigenschaften begrenzt Der Betreiber hat daf r Sorge zu tragen dass durch regelm ige Kontrolle und Wartung alle Teile rechtzeitig ersetzt werden die einen sicheren Betrieb nicht mehr gew hrleisten Jede Beobachtung einer abnormalen Betriebsweise oder einer wahrnehmbaren Besch digung verbietet die weitere Benutzung Anlagen bei denen der Ausfall oder das Versagen zu Personen oder Sachsch den f hren kann sind mit Alarmeinrichtungen und oder Reserveaggregaten auszustatten

12. must be carried out by an authorized service workshop Cable entry Make sure that the cable entry is watertight and that the cables are not bent sharply and or pinched Additionally at pump types with oil chamber Oil level and oil condition in oil chamber Put the pump in horizontal position so that the screw of the oil chamber is above at larger pumps one of both screws Remove the screw and infer a small quantity of oil The oil becomes greyish white like milk if it contains water This may be the result of defective shaft seal In this case leave the condition of the shaft seals by a VOGEL Service to examine The oil should be replaced after 3000 operating hours Oil type Shell Tellus C22 degradable VOGEL Atox available on request Used oil is to be disposed accord ingly Servicing Contract For a regular expert execution of all necessary mainte nance and inspection we recommend the conclusion of a servicing contract by our VOGEL Service Please contact our VOGEL customer service 9 Fault Finding Chart AN Before maintenance or repair disconnect the pump from the power supply to avoid accidental starting of the pump Fault Pump does not start Pump does not stop Failure advice or alarm advice at the control box Cause Supply failure Impeller blocked by impurities Pressure hose is leaky or clogging Fuses blow due to use of wrong type of fuse Pressure hose is leaky or clogging C
13. on the wall in accordance with local regulations e A manual diaphragm pump is available as an acces sory The pump is connected to the 1 tank port The manual diaphragm pump is used for draining the tank in the event of pump failure Above the dia phragm pump must be fitted with a non return valve on the discharge side To facilitate service of the diaphragm pump it is advisable to fit a 1 isolating valve to the tank port The pipe must conduct over the sewer level that means constantly rising over that niveau and subsequently as a loop directly to the collecting conduit 7 Start Up AN Never let the pump run dry for a long time of period as it will destroy the pump danger of overheating Before starting the disposal unit make sure that all isolat ing valves are open and check that the unit runs satisfac torily Make sure that the correct phase sequence was proofed at the 3 ph models see 6 3 Turn the operation switch into the position Auto In combination with the pneumatic level control the pump starts and stops according to the liquid level in the tank 8 Maintenance and Repair An case of a defect ofthe pump a repair shall be car ried out only by the manufacturer or through an author ized workshop Modifications of the pump must be con firmed by the manufacturer Only VOGEL spare parts shall be used In accordance with the product liability law we point out that we shall not be liable for damages cau

16. switch It should only be possible to release the device through an appropriate action this release should not start the machine up again it should only make it possible to start it up again If the power supply is interrupted or restored after being interrupted or if it is changed in any other way this should not cause any danger e g start up with out control or unexpected pressure hammer 2 Applications and Technical Description 2 1 Applications VOGEL disposal units SEKAMATIK 100 E D and SEKAMATIK 300 D TD are used for pumping waste wa ter effluent or groundwater containing sludge or soft sol ids from rooms which are below the sewer level The pumps must not be used for pumping of liquids con taining great quantities of abrasive solids like sand or stones Before the pumping of chemically aggressive liq uids the resistance of the pump materials must be checked 2 2 Product description Smell tight and watertight complete lifting station with one or two pumps The lifting station consists of a collecting tank with all necessary ports for the connection of inlet pipe discharge pipe air vent and manual diaphragm pump see page 19 21 The controllers incorporate contactors a pc board with light emitting diodes LEDs for indication of operating condition and a level switch which via a hose is oper ated by the liquid level in the collecting tank The LEDs indicate Pump operation Phase sequence f
