Un clavier standard PS2 doit tre connect au mini connecteur 6 pattes marqu keyboard sur le cot gauche de la carte Un clavier est n cessaire pour utiliser l affichage sur cran du Minimig et pour charger les fichiers ADF Notez que certains vieux claviers peuvent ne pas fonc tionner avec le Minimig e Souris Une souris standard PS2 doit tre connect e au mini connecteur a 6 pattes marqu mouse sur le cot gauche de la carte Les souris optiques sont g r es e Joysticks Le Minimig poss de deux ports joystick a 9 pattes sur le cot droit de la carte Des joysticks stan dards Amiga peuvent tre connect s a ces ports Le port standard pour les jeux a un joueur est le port JOY2 celui du haut N utilisez pas le port 9 pattes l arri re c est un port serie e Port s rie Le port 9 broches l arri re du Minimig correspond au port s rie de Amiga mul MISE EN ROUTE Avant de mettre en route le Minimig ins rez la carte SD Celle ci est reconnue seulement au d mar rage A l allumage la led bleue syst me en fonction va s allumer Le Minimig va chercher les fichiers minimig1 bin et kick rom pour d marrer le syst me Cela peut prendre un petit instant Le charge ment du kickstart va faire flasher l cran dans un style r tro de d compression C est un fonctionnement normal Quand le syst me a d marr compl tement l cran de d marrage Amiga que vous connaissez sera affich

Minimig is now ready for use and can be operated using 4 special keys on the PS2 keyboard and a so called on screen display NE A A Eli The keys used are e F12 Just as with UAE this key will invoke the on screen display Pressing F12 again will hide the on screen display The on screen display can also be invoked by pressing the menu button at the front of the Minimig board e Page up Page down These keys are used to navigate the on screen display up and down Home This key is used to select an item on the on screen display Usage of the on screen display should be self explanatory RESETTING THE MINIMIG Minimig is reset by holding down the control left alt and right alt keys simultaneously This will only reset the Amiga side of the system To reset the system completely or to reload the SD card the power must be switched off on MORE INFORMATION For more information please visit www acube systems biz NOTES Please note that although the emulation is accurate some games could not work as expected on a real Amiga When handling the board be especially careful with ESD electro static discharge Although protection is built into the Minimig ESD can seriously damage it E Deutsch AAA Minimig Gebrauchsanleitung EINLEITUNG Vielen Dank dass Sie Minimig gew hlt haben den ersten Hardware Emulator des Amiga 500 Systems Das original Amiga Chipset OCS und ECS ist im FPGA reimplementiert w hrend wie
6. im Originalger t ein 68000 CPU onboard eingebaut ist Die Emulation der Original Hardware ist pr zise und erm glicht eine gro e Anzahl von Spielen und Anwendungen durch einfaches Kopieren der ADF Dateien Kopie der Original Floppy Disks auf eine Standard SD Karte Standard PS2 Tastatur und Maus wie blich mit PCs ben tzt sind unterst tzt wie auch Original Amiga Maus und Joystick Diese kurze Anleitung soll Ihnen bei der Einrichtung Ihres Minimigs helfen lesen Sie diese deshalb bitte sorgf ltig durch Wir hoffen das Sie Freude an Ihrem Minimig haben werden SD FLASH KARTE KONFIGURIEREN Zum starten des Minimigs benoetigen Sie eine FAT16 formatierte SD Karte Eine kompatible Karte ist mit dem Board mitgeliefert Diese Karte muss zumindest folgende Dateien im Hauptverzeichnis enthal ten e MINIMIG1 BIN Ist die FPGA Haupt Datei uns wird f r eine korrekte Konfiguration des Spartan FPGA Ben tigt e KICK ROM Ist die kickstart Rom Datei Alle kickstart Versionen sind unterst tzt aber die Versionen 1 2 or 1 3 werden fuer die Spiele Kompatibilit t empfohlen Die kickstart Dateien sind durch Copyright gesch tzt deshalb ben tigen Sie eine legale Kopie von Ihrem original Amiga oder von Cloanto Amiga Forever www amigaforever com Au er diesen beiden Dateien ben tigen Sie einige ADF Dateien wenn Sie mit Ihrem Minimig etwas mehr machen wollen als nur das Amiga Boot Bild anzuschauen Alle Dateien m ssen im Hauptverzeich nis enthalten
7. rechten Seite des Boards Hier k nnen Standard Amiga Joysticks angeschlossen werden Der Standard Anschluss f r einzelspieler Spie le ist der JOY2 obere Anschluss Benuetzen Sie nicht den 9_pin Anschluss auf der R ckseite da es sich um einen Serialanschluss handelt e Serialanschluss Der 9 Pin Anschluss an der Ruckseite ist als Serialanschluss f r den emulierten Amiga be stimmt HOCHFAHREN Die SD Karte einlegen bevor Sie den Minimig einschalten Diese wird nur w hrend des Hochfahrens erkannt Nach dem einschalten leuchtet die blaue Led auf system power Der Minimig sucht nun nach den minimig1 bin und kick rom Dateien um das System zu booten Das kann etwas dauern Das Laden des kickstart Rom l sst den Bildschirm in echtem retro decrunching style aufleuchten das ist normal Sobald das System vollst ndig hochgefahren ist erscheint der gewohnte Amiga Boot Screen my Deutsch AAA BILDSCHIRMANZEIGE Der Minimig ist nun f r den Gebrauch bereit und kann mit 4 Funktionstasten der PS2 Tastatur sowie einem so genanntem on screen display betrieben werden Die Tasten sind folgende e F12 Genau wie mit UAE ruft diese Taste das on screen display auf Bei erneutem dr cken von F12 verschwindet es wieder Das on screen display kann auch durch Dr cken der Men Taste an der Frontseite des Minimig Boards aufgerufen werden e Bild auf Bild ab Diese Tasten werden ben tzt um in dem on screen display auf und abzufahren
8. sein Unterverzeichnisse sind nicht unterst tzt ANNSCHLIESEN DES MINIMIGS Stromanschluss Der Minimig muss mit einem 5V stabilisiertem Netzteil versorgt werden ben tzen deshalb Sie NE A VA Deutsch a bitte nur das mitgelieferte Netzteil Ein Netzteil mit falscher Voltzahl oder falscher Polarit t wird den Minimig ohne Zweifel besch digen Schlie en Sie das Netzteil an die DC IN gekennzeich nete 2 1 mm Buchse an der Ruckseite des Boards an Der mittlere Pin ist positiv e Monitor Der Minimig besitzt einen mit video gekennzeichneten Standard 15pin VGA Anschluss an der R ckseite des Boards Jeder 50Hz f higer Monitor kann eingesetzt werden Der 3 Pin Jumper neben diesem Anschluss muss auf 31KHz gesetzt werden Voreinstellung e Audio Standard PC Boxen k nnen an die mit audio gekennzeichneten 3 5 mm Buchse an der R cksei te des Boards angeschlossen werden e Tastatur Eine Standard PS2 Tastatur muss mit dem keyboard gekennzeichneten 6 Pin Minianschluss an der linken Seite des Boards verbunden werden Man ben tigt eine Tastatur um die Minimig Bild anzeige zu bedienen und die ADF Dateien zu laden ltere Tastaturen k nnten nicht mit dem Minimig funktionieren Maus Eine Standard PS2 Maus muss mit dem Mouse gekennzeichneten 6 Pin Minianschluss an der linken Seite des Boards verbunden werden Optische M use sind unterst tzt e Joystick Der Minimig besitzt 2 9 Pin Joystick Anschl sse an der
9. 1KHz default e Audio Standard PC speakers can be connected to the 3 5mm jack labelled audio at the back of the board e Keyboard A standard PS2 keyboard must be connected to the 6 pin mini connector labelled keyboard on the left hand side of the board A keyboard is necessary to operate the Minimig on screen display and to load ADF files Some older keyboards may not work on the Minimig e Mouse A standard PS2 mouse must be connected to the 6 pin mini connector labelled mouse on the left hand side of the board Optical mice are supported e Joysticks The Minimig has 2 9 pin joystick ports at the right hand side of the board Standard Amiga joy sticks can be connected to these ports The standard port for single player games is the JOY2 upper port Do not use the 9 pin port at the back that port is a serial port e Serial The 9 pin port at the back will be used as the serial port ofthe emulated Amiga POWERING UP Before applying power to Minimig insert the SD card The card is only recognized at powerup After applying power the blue led system power will light up The Minimig will search for the minimig1 bin and kick rom files to boot the system This may take a few moments The loading of the kickstart rom will flash the screen in true retro decrunching style This is normal behaviour When the system has booted completely the familiar Amiga boot screen will be shown ON SCREEN DISPLAY The
10. arefully We hope you will enjoy using the Minimig CONFIGURING THE SD FLASH CARD To get the Minimig started a FAT16 formatted SD card is needed A compatible card is supplied with the board This card must contain at least the following files in the root directory e MINIMIG1 BIN This is the FPGA core file needed to correctly configure the Spartan FPGA e KICK ROM This is the kickstart rom file All kickstart versions are supported but for game compatibil ity versions 1 2 or 1 3 are recommended The kickstart files are protected by copyright so you need to obtain a legal copy from your original Amiga or from Cloanto Amiga Forever package www amigaforever com Besides these two files some ADF files are needed to let the Minimig do something more than dis playing the Amiga boot screen All files must be in the root directory Subdirectories are not supported CONNECTING THE MINIMIG e Power The Minimig must be supplied with a 5V STABILIZED POWER SUPPLY Please use only the sup plied power supply A power supply with the wrong voltage or polarity will certainly damage the N english AAA Minimig Connect the power supply to the 2 1mm jack labelled DC IN at the back of the board Centre pin is positive e Monitor The Minimig has a standard 15pin VGA connector labelled video at the back of the board Any monitor capable of displaying 50Hz display modes can be used The 3 pin jumper next to this connector must be set to 3

14. ornire tensione a Minimig inserire la scheda SD La scheda riconosciuta solo all accensione Dopo aver fornito tensione il led blu system power si accender e Minimig cercher i file minimig1 bin e kick rom per caricare il sistema Questo pu richiedere un po di tempo Durante il caricamento della rom del Kickstart lo schermo lampegger in perfetto stile retro decrunching E una cosa normale quando il sistema sar completamente caricato apparir il familiare schermo di boot di Amiga NE A VA aia ON SCREEN DISPLAY OSD Minimig ora pronto per l uso e pu essere controllato usando 4 tasti speciali sulla tastiera PS2 e richiamando l OSD tasti usati sono e F12 Come in UAE questo tasto richiama l OSD Premendo F12 un altra volta l OSD si nasconder L OSD pu essere richiamato anche premendo il pulsante menu button sulla parte anteriore del Minimig e Page up Page down Questi tasti sono usati per navigare nelle voci dell OSD e Home Questo tasto usato per selezionare una voce dell OSD Le funzionalit dell OSD dovrebbero essere auto esplicative RIAVVIARE MINIMIG Minimig si riavvia premendo contemporaneamente i tasti ctrl left alt e right alt Questa sequenza riavvia solamente il lato Amiga del sistema Per riavviare completamente il sistema o ricaricare la scheda SD bisogna togliere e reinserire l alimentazione ULTERIORI INFORMAZIONI Per ulteriori informazioni visitar
