You should now pro perly fit the mask in order to eliminate any potential leaks Place the tubing such that it does not exert any pulling action on the mask while you are lying down CPAP Respiratory Therapy Device point Commissioning 09 7 Breathe deeply and calmly only through your nose If you have activated the soft start function the device initially reduces the pressure after completion of the leakage test and will then slowly increase the pressure automatically to the prescribed level allowing you to fall asleep at a lower pressure CPAPpont HOFFRICHTER HUH 3 ShPa 13 Hus H6 12 33 NOTE For information on how to adjust the soft start and mask test times to your individual demands please refer to the section entitled Functions of point pages 36 38 CPAP Respiratory Therapy Device point 10 Use of Oxygen If you also have to inhale oxygen during your CPAP therapy plea se be absolutely sure to follow the instructions from the manufac turer or the dealer delivering the oxygen to you If you supply the oxygen directly into the mask please use a non kinking tube that consists of a medically approved material Please consult your local dealer You can also supply the oxygen through an adapter which is mounted to the air outlet Please consult your local dealer In any case please be absolutely sure to follow your physician s instructions CAUTION Oxygen promotes combustion processes For t

Therapy Device point Alarm Functions of point 12 Power failure After a power failure and subsequent power restoration the motor restarts automatically and the display shows the following message CPAPpont HOFFRICHTER Power Failure Restart Turbine If the optionally available powerpackpoint is used the battery supplies the device with current in the event of a power failure Mask alarm This alarm function is activated only if the automatic function is turned off If the mask has slipped off your face or if the tubing is pulled off the device the device is not turned off automatically but emits a visual and audible alarm CPAPpont HOFFRICHTER Mask Alarm Check Mask CPAP Respiratory Therapy Device point 12 Alarm Functions of point Wake alarm The point is provided with an integrated alarm clock Using the programming keys you can activate and deactivate this alarm clock at any time for example on weekends The alarm clock emits an alarm at the programmed wake time Press the operator key once to set the alarm for the next 5 Minutes and twice to deactivate it completely Checking the power failure function Use the device with running blower and then pull out the power plug Reinsert the power plug in the outlet The device should automatically continue the therapy If you use the powerpackpoint disconnect one battery before starting the test Checking the mask alarm Use the device with running t
