1. Note If unit fails to light after replacing bulb disengage unit remove the bulb and reseat it in the socket Figure 5 D Bulb contains mercury dispose of properly To order replacement bulbs and lures go to www StingerProducts com or call 1 800 477 0457 CLEANING As the unit kills insects most of the insect remains will fall down through the unit into the bug tray Some debris may be left on the killing grid or may accumulate in the base of the unit This may reduce the effectiveness of the device Check your device frequently and clean the unit regularly The time in between each cleaning will vary depending on your insect population and usage Before cleaning the unit ALWAYS ensure the Power switch is in the OFF position and the AC Adaptor is disengaged Remove bulb from unit to avoid damage see instructions above Using compressed air remove any insect remains from the killing grid and bottom of enclosure Never use water to clean the unit Water may damage the electrical components Be very careful not to move or adjust the metal killing grid in any way Once the unit is clean replace the bulb and bug tray SAA E TROUBLESHOOTING Unit will not light no apparent grid voltage e Make sure the unit is charged e Make sure the bug tray is fully closed Unit will not light grid has voltage e Check bulb to make sure it is seated properly e Replace bulb if necessary Unit appears to be working properly but insect p2. 10. n that octenol is effective in attracting many species of mosquitoes and biting flies This lure has slow release properties and increases the effectiveness of attracting insects to the unit For best results replace the lure every 30 days 1 Open the lure by peeling off the foil lid 2 This model has a specially designed holder built into the bug tray Simply slide the lure into this holder on the back of the bug tray with the exposed octenol side facing into the tray Figure 4 Slide bug tray with lure back into the device 3 To remove pull out the bug tray grasp the lure by the extended tension tab and slide out CHANGING BULBS fFigure 5 Only use Stinger replacement bulbs Bulbs should be replaced annually to maintain optimal UV effectiveness Even though the bulb s light may be visible to you its ability to attract insects diminishes over time If the bulb fails to light or the color of the light changes to yellow or orange it is time to replace the bulb See PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS for bulb replacement type for your device 1 Ensure unit is OFF and AC Adaptor is disengaged 2 Remove bug tray and turn unit upside down DO NOT REST THE UNIT ON SURFACE WITHOUT CONTINUING TO SUPPORT IT It will not stand on its own 3 Reach in and pull old bulb straight out to remove Dispose of bulb properly 4 Insert new bulb making sure it is properly seated in the socket Figure 5 5 Return unit to upright position and replace bug tray
