THE OVERALL SOUND LEVEL WITHIN THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION BASIC INSTRUCTIONS This Model 10 030CF M1 Dust Collector has been designed to capture remove and collect non metallic dust and wood dust around the workshop and from woodworking machinery ON OFF SWITCH The model 10 030CF MI is equipped with a simple rocker style On Off switch featuring a removable lock out safety key To prevent unauthorized use or unintentional start up remove the safety key and store it in a safe place when ever the dust collector is not in use 1 J To start the dust collector insert the safety key and pull up SAFETY KEY itch ine PREVENTS START UP mM To stop the machine push down on the power POWER ON POWER OFF WHEN REMOVED AN MAKE SURE THE SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION BEFORE PLUGGING IN THE POWER CORD REMOVE THE SWITCH KEY WHENEVER THE DUST COLLECTOR IS NOT IN USE PLACE IT IN A SAFE PLACE AND OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN MAINTENANCE amp SERVICING AN MAKE SURE THE SWITCH IS IN THE OFF POSITION AND UNPLUG THE UNIT FROM THE POWER SOURCE BEFORE PER FORMING ANY MAINTENANCE This machine operates on 110 V if you suspect any electrical problems call a qualified electrician to do the verifi cation of the electrical circuit or the machine If you need further help with your dust collector contact your General International distributor or our Technical Service Department at 1 888 949 1161 All bea

RATED AT APPROXIMATELY 80 85 DB DURING OPERATION MAKE SURE THAT ADEQUATE HEARING PROTECTION IS USED AND THAT THE OVERALL SOUND LEVEL WITHIN THE WORKING ENVIRON MENT IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION 1 Long hex head bolt 2 Flat washer small 3 Flat washer large 4 Plastic spacer 5 Hex nut 6 Lock nut VOo 1 Attach the 2 casters to the underside of the base 2 Attach the wheels to each side of the base as on the rounded end A using 8 button head shown in D in the assembly order shown in E screws B as shown in C 3 Attach the 2 vertical support rods F to the base using 4 hex flange head bolts G as shown in H NOTE The front and rear support rods are identical They are rectangular and have flat ends fo sit flush to the base 5 With the help of an assistant line up the holes in the impeller separator assembly with the holes in the support rods and attach the assembly to the rods using hex flange head bolts 7 Peel off the backing of the narrow adhesive foam gasket and stick it around the lower end of the drum L making sure the gasket is sitting in the groove M Repeat with the wide foam gasket around the upper end of the drum N gt 4 Attach the 3rd support rod I as shown in J using 2 hex flange head bolts NOTE The 3rd rod has an angled end to sit over the lip of the base 6 Attach the handle to the impeller assembly as shown using 2 hex head bolts K to secure it in place Tip Hint T

12. ine Unclip the bag clamp and remove the bag from the machine Empty the bag or simply dispose of the bag and its contents and replace With q new bog disposing of the contents in a safe and responsible manner that complies with all local codes and regulations regarding waste disposal Re install the bag and re attach the clamp CLEANING OR REPLACING THE CANISTER FILTER After a period of time depending on the frequency of use the canister filter may become clogged and affect airflow as well the overall efficiency of the unit Should you notice a drop in the efficiency or performance of the unit it may be q sign that it is time to clean the filter If so proceed as follows Turn off and unplug the machine For basic cleaning simply rotate the handle on the top of the canister sever al rotations The internal flap will rub against the corrugated inner filter and shake free any built up dust from inside the filter For a more thorough cleaning after rotating the handle unclip the belt d AR clamps and remove the canister from the machine and place it on the A ground upside down Vacuum the inside of the canister to remove any remaining dust from inside Re install the canister and re attach the clamp RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES We offer a large variety of products for increased con 1 Micron Large Canister venience productivity accuracy and safety when Filter using your dust collector Here s a small sampling
13. o seat the canister on the rim of the drum run a flat piece of wood such as a ruler between the drum and the black apron on the bottom of the canister P USE CAUTION AND WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING ME N TAL PARTS SUCH AS BELT CLAMPS WHICH CAN CUT IF HANDLED CARELESSLY 8 Fit the canister filler onto the drum and use the bigger belt clamp to secure the canister to the drum as shown in O 9 Use the second belt clamp to attach the collector 10 Fit the canister cleaning handle onto the top of the bag to the lower portion of the drum Q canister then tighten the screw against the flat end Note Before tightening the clamp make sure the metal of the shaft as shown strap is sitting in the groove on the lower portion of the drum R to create an airtight seal between the drum and the bag OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS T ALWAYS TURN ON THE DUST COLLECTOR BEFORE STARTING YOUR DUST PRODUCING MACHINE AND ALWAYS STOP THE DUST PRODUCING MACHINE BEFORE TURNING OFF THE DUST COLLECTOR BEFORE STARTING 1 To minimize airborne dust make sure that all hoses fittings and clamps are secure and airtight 2 For maximum system efficiency make sure a cover is installed on any unused hose inlet openings 3 Never operate the machine without the filter bag or canister and the collection bag properly installed THE SOUND LEVEL OF THIS MACHINE IS RATED AT APPROXIMATELY 80 85 DB DURING OPERATION MAKE SURE THAT ADEGUATE HEARING PROTECTION IS USED AND THAT

15. ounding pin to make it fit into an old 2 hole wall socket or extension cord If an adaptor plug is used C it must be attached to the metal screw of the recepta cle Note The use of an adaptor plug is illegal in some areas Check your local codes If you have any doubts or if the supplied plug does not correspond to your electrical outlet consult a qualified electrician before proceeding CIRCUIT CAPACITY Make sure that the wires in your circuit are capable of handling the amperage draw from your machine as well as any other machines that could be operating on the same circuit If you are unsure consult a quali fied electrician If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows regularly your machine may be operating on a circuit that is close to its amperage draw capacity However if an unusual amperage draw does not exist and a power failure still occurs contact a qualified technician or our service department EXTENSION CORDS If you find it necessary to use an extension cord with your machine use only 3 wire extension cords that have 3 prong grounding plug and a matching 3 pole recepta cle that accepts the tool s plug Repair or replace a damaged extension cord or plug immediately Make sure the cord rating is suitable for the amperage listed on the motor I D plate An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating The accompanying chart shows the correct size extension cord
