1. 2 as the center Reference hole P Step 4 Within the square draw a 17 in diameter circle and remove shingles nails and felt from the circle just drawn Eey p ae E Step 5 Next draw a 14 Yin diameter circle inside the 17 in circle on the decking Be sure to use the hole drilled in Step 2 as a center of this circle Cut through the decking using the 14 Yin circle as the cut line Hole in root Step 6 Slide the flange of the unit up under the shingles some roofing nails may need to be removed Position the unit on the reference square drawn in Step 3 to align the exhaust opening Step 7 When the unit is properly located apply a generous amount of roofing compound between the flange and the shingles do not hot mop approximately 1 in inside the perimeter of the flange and begin to secure with nails Suggested nailing pattern Step 8 Check the installation for leakage with water from a garden hose Do not spay water directly into the vent opening THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION fo A I il Sg PA use power supply KY ee gt To moToR ise wa Te ym l HH sce p o WARNING temperatures Before wiring the thermostat turn the power off at the breaker to avoid electrocution Be certain to confirm to all Local Electric Codes and Regulations Remove the cover from the thermostat box and use screws to attach the mounting plate
