Track Installation Instructions Please read carefully and save these instructions as you may need them at a later date SAFETY WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Disconnect the electrical supply circuit to the track before installing light kit GENERAL All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes ordinances or national electrical codes If you are unfamiliar with methods of installing electrical wiring secure the services of a qualified electrician Before starting installation disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse at fuse box NOTE The important safeguards and instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur It must be understood that common sense caution and care are factors which cannot be built into any product These factors must be supplied by the person s installing this unit Track Installation For use with EC series amp HB series track only 60hz 120 volt IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Save these Instructions When installing or using this track system basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following a Read all instructions b Do not install this track in damp or wet locations c Do not cut any track sections d Do not install any part of a track system less than 5 feet above the floor Do not install any fixture assembly closer than 6 inches from
3. any curtain or similar combustible material f Disconnect electrical power before adding to or changing the configuration of the track 8 Do not attempt to energize anything other than lighting track fixtures on the track To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock do not attempt to connect power tools extension cords appliances and the like to the track h The track system is not intended for use with a power supply cord or convenience receptacle adaptor i This track system is to be supplied by a single branch 120 volt circuit j The track is not intended to be pendant mounted such as by a stem or cable Installation fo Track Connector Assembly Do not cut track Determine which connector will be used to power track and attach 3 Place track power feed connector assembly at desired location on ceiling noting location of electrical supply Mark ceiling through holes in track and remove track 4 For toggle bolt installation drill a 5 8 hole at each mark on ceiling insert bolts through the track and thread toggles 1 2 onto bolts 5 Place track connector assembly against ceiling and insert toggles into holes until the spring open Tighten bolts 6 To connect two tracks loosen set screws on straight connector align grounds and insert into track Tighten set screws INTRUCCIONES IMPORRTANTES DE SEGURIDAD Preserve estas Instrucciones Al instalar o usar sistema de rieles siempre debe tomar las debidas preca
