1. dsal Vitra Rack Heavy Duty Boltless Racking Safety Instructions These units should be placed on a level surface ailure to do so can result in poor performance or create a possible safety hazard This unit should be securely anchored to a wall or for with suitable fasteners which are not included Do not use this product for anything other than the mariufact rers intensi o purpose Do not stand on any part of the unit or use it as a ladder Do not overioad Evenly distribute the weight on each level and always keep the heavier loads near the bottom Use care when working with metal parts General Instructions Assembly is done with the rivets of the beams and braces fitting into the siots of the uprights A rubber mallet may be used cn the beams and braces to seat the rivets properly A hammer can also be used providing one uses a cloth or black of wood between the hammer head and the parts to prevent damage Tap gently and be sure that the rivets are straight and fully engaged Assembly Instructions Upright Upright add on imLSU RPT mo 4 1 Start by assembling an end frame Take two 2 uprights Figure C RLSU with one 1 brace RMF Skipping one 1 slot from the bottom of each upright see figure A place the UU noso rivets into the slots of the upright with the flat part facing up and tap lightly to properly seat rivets See figure B Continue by adding2. the remaining braces to complete the necessary levels for the end frame 2 Continue by constructing another end frame Be sure to Figure D place the braces in the same upright slot locations as the first end unt so that both end units are identical 3 To finish the unit see figure C install the beams RMB Skipping one slot from the bottom of each upright place the beam rivets into the slots of the upright with the flat part facing up and tap down lightly to propery seat the rivets see figure B Start at the bottom of the end unit and work your way to the top DOUBLE CHECK the completed unit and BE SURE that all rivets are properly seated and that all beams and braces are level BEFORE appiying any load to the unit I you have purchased an add on unit there are a few steps that will need to be followed First make sure that the base unit is free of all items stored on it Then start by removing two 2 uprights RLSU at one 1 end of the base unit and the braces RMF that are connected to it see figure D Take two 2 of the add on uprights RLPT and install them T U in place of where the other uprights RLSU were removed Continue by adding the necessary braces RMF to both sides of the add on uprights to complete the base unit and the add on end trame see figure E Using the uprights removed from the base unit RLSU continue by following step one 1 and step three 3 as outlined above to complete co
