11. ker ducting when fitted in the evacuation mode must never be connected to central heating flues radiators or water heaters Recirculation Mode The cooker hood is supplied specified for use in the recirculation mode with the charcoal filter fitted In the recirculation mode contaminated air is passed through the charcoal filter to be purified and recirculated into the kitchen through the grille outlets on either side of the chimney Page 14 INSTALLING THE COOKER HOOD Assemble the two halves of the recirculation air extension tube item 14 Push fit the assembled recirculation air extension tube item 14 onto the air outlet e Push fit the air outlet connector item 15 15 14 1 onto the recirculated air outlet extension tube item 14 Insert the connection extension pieces item 14 1 into either end item 15 Make sure that the assembly is correctly aligned both horizontally and vertically If this is not the case adjust the position of item 14 1 by reversing them or by cutting the recirclated air extension tube item 14 along one of the thinner section channels which denote the prefixed lengths then reassemble as discribed above e The air outlet grilles item 8a 8b must not be fitted until the lower chimney item 2 2 has been installed Ensure the activated charcoal filter has been fitted Electrical Connection Connect the hood to the mains supply as instructed on Page 10 t Fitting the Upper Ch

13. leave naked flames under the cooker hood Ensure heating areas on your hob are covered with pots and pans when using the hob and cooker hood simultaneously Page 5 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE AN Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance isolate the cooker hood from the mains supply The cooker hood must be kept clean as a build up of fat or grease can be a fire hazard External Cleaning Wipe over the cooker hood frequently with a cloth wrung out in warm soapy water using a mild detergent A N Never use scouring pads or abrasive cleaners Never use excessive amounts of water when cleaning particularly around the control panel Metal Grease Filters The grease filters absorb grease and dust during cooking to help keep the cooker hood clean inside I Cleaning The filters must be washed once every month using a normal household detergent their compact dimension also enables them to be washed in a dishwasher Allow to dry completely before replacing Removing and replacing the filters Remove the filters one at a time press against the metal actuator to release the spring catch as illustrated When replacing ensure that the handles face outwards Charcoal Filter In the recirculation mode the charcoal filter absorbs smells and unwanted odours The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned or regenerated and must be replaced approximately every 4 months or more frequently if the hood is subjected to heavy

15. pplied e Using a screw driver and spirit level adjust the screws item Vr until the hood body is level Page 13 INSTALLING THE COOKER HOOD Extraction Ducted The cooker hood is more effective when installed in the extraction mode ducted to the outside Venting kits may be purchased through your retailer or DIY store or using the enclosed form and must be evacuated through an outside vent of 125 Sins or 150mm 6ins The ducting used must be manufactured from fire retardent material conforming to the relevant British Standard or DIN 4102 B1 When the cooker hood is ducted to the outside the charcoal filter must be removed ts Fitting the Ducting Fit the 150mm 6ins ducting to the spigot on top of the hood body as illustrated e When using 125mm 5ins ducting fit item 9 and 10 on to the spigot on the top of the hood body as illustrated For the best performance use the shortest possible run of ducting and we recommend the use of rigid pipe in preference to flexible hose as this will improve the flow of air while reducing turbulence which causes causes noise and a loss of performance If the room where the cooker hood is to be used contains a fuel burning appliance such as a central heating boiler then its flue must be be of the room sealed or balanced flue type If other types of flue or appliances are fitted ensure that there is an adequate supply of air to the room e The coo

18. usage ug Replacing the charcoal filter First remove the metal grease filters Remove the saturated charcoal filter by releasing the fixing hooks as illustrated Page 6 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Position the new charcoal filter in the position marked and while holding the filter replace the fixing hooks as illustrated This appliance can be a possible fire hazard if the grease and charcoal filters are not cleaned and replaced as recommended tse Changing the Spot Lamps Remove the two screws fixing the lighting Support Remove the spot lamp from the holder by or ORA pulling the lamp downwards Replace the spot lamp by inserting the two pins at the base of the lamp into the holes in holder and pushing into position Replace the lighting support ensuring it is located correctly and fix back into position using the two screws If one of the spot lamps has failed to function check that the lamp is fully seated into the lamp holder If lamp failure has occurred then it should be replaced with a 12V 20W M262 halogen spot lamp Replacement filters and lamps can be obtained from your local Service Force Centre Page 7 SOMETHING NOT WORKING If having followed these instructions carefully your cooker hood fails to work properly please carry out the following checks Symptom The cooker hood will not start The cooker hood is not working effectively The cooker hood has switched off during operati
