Using two adjustable wrenches attach the Wheels 15 to the Base 80 with the two Wheel Bolts 14 and the two Wheel Nuts 29 as shown Do not overtighten the Wheel Bolts the Wheels should spin freely 3 With the help of a second person carefully tip the tread mill onto its left side Hold the Base 80 against the Right Handrail 6 and the Left Handrail not shown Make sure the Wheels 15 are toward the front of the treadmill as shown Using a 9 16 socket wrench attach the Base 80 to the Right Handrail 6 with two Handrail Bolts 12 two Handrail Washers 31 and two Handrail Nuts 17 Do not tighten the Handrail Bolts yet Attach the Base to the Left Handrail not shown in the same way Tip the treadmill back to the position shown in step 1 4 Loosen the two Console Bolts 9 underneath the Console 1 and rotate the Console to the position shown Push the Right and Left Handrails 6 7 inward as you tighten the two Console Bolts 5 Note You must be able to safely lift 45 pounds 20 kg in order to do this step Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown CAUTION To decrease the possibility of in jury bend your legs and keep your back straight As you raise the treadmill make sure to lift with your legs rather than your back Raise the treadmill to the vertical position 6 Make sure that the Latch Pin 78 is in the Storage Latch 77 as shown Attach the Storage Latc

HE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn the right adjustment bolt counterclockwise 1 4 of a turn Plug in the power cord insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is centered b If the walking belt has shifted to the right first re move the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Using the allen wrench turn the right adjustment bolt clockwise 1 4 of a turn Plug in the power cord insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes Repeat until the walking belt is centered 13 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES A WARNING before beginning this or any exercise program consult your physician This is especially important for in dividuals over the age of 35 or individuals with pre existing health problems The following guidelines will help you to plan your ex ercise program Remember these are general guide lines For more detailed information about exercise obtain a book or consult your physician EXERCISE INTENSITY Whether your goal is to burn fat or strengthen your car diovascular system the key to achieving the desired results is to exercise with the proper intensity The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart rate as a guide For effective exercise your heart rate should be maintained at a level between 70 and 85 of your maximum heart rate as you exercise This is known as your training zone You can find your training zone in the table below Training zon

Tripped TD Reset circuit breaker wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in The power turns off during use a b C d Check the circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord see c above If the circuit breaker has tripped wait for five minutes and then press the switch back in Make sure that the power cord is plugged in Remove the key from the console Reinsert the key fully into the console If the treadmill still will not run please call our Customer Service Department toll free The displays of the console do not function properly a b Check the batteries in the console see assembly step 7 on page 6 Most problems are the result of drained batteries Remove the key from the console and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD Remove the screws from the hood Carefully remove the hood Locate the Reed Switch 1 8 53 46 and the Magnet 49 on the left side of the Pulley 26 53 Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with 49 the Reed Switch Make sure that the gap between 46 the Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1 8 If necessary loosen the Screw 26 and move the Reed Switch slightly Retighten the Screw Re attach the hood and run the treadmill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading Top View 12 PROBLEM The walking belt is off center SOLUTION a If the walking belt has shifted to the left first re move the key and UNPLUG T

12. ded A CAUTION Before operating the console read the following precautions Do not stand on the walking belt when turn ing on the power Always wear the clip see the drawing above while operating the treadmill When the key is removed from the console the walking belt will stop e Adjust the speed in small increments To reduce the possibility of electric shock keep the console dry Avoid spilling liquids on the console and use only a sealable water bottle STEP BY STEP CONSOLE OPERATION Before the console can be operated two AA batteries must be installed see assembly step 6 on page 6 Key Follow the steps below to operate the console Step onto the grip tape on the treadmill Find the clip attached to the key see the drawing above and slide the clip onto the waistband of your clothing Next in sert the key into the console Test the clip by care fully taking a few steps backward until the key is pulled from the console If the key is not pulled from the console adjust the position of the clip as needed Then remove the key from the console Follow the steps at the right and on page 9 to operate the console 1 Insert the key fully into the power switch Note Inserting the key will not turn on the dis O play The display will turn on when the 2 ON RESET button is pressed or when the CT walking belt is started gt If you just installed batteries the display will

14. h 77 to the Frame 55 with the three Screws 5 Do not fully tighten the Screws yet Position the Storage Latch so that the Latch Pin 78 is aligned with the hole in the Left Handrail 7 Slide the Latch Pin into the hole as shown in the inset drawing Then tighten the three Screws 7 The console requires two AA batteries not included Alkaline batteries are recommended To install batteries first touch the Handrail 6 to discharge any static Next open the Battery Cover 8 Press the batteries into the battery compartment with the negative ends of the batteries touching the springs Close the battery cover push up on the tab and then push the tab forward as shown in the inset drawing Be sure that the tab locks into place Battery Cover Tab 8 Make sure that all parts are tightened before you use the treadmill Keep the included allen wrench in a secure place The allen wrench is used to adjust the walking belt see page 13 To protect the floor or carpet place a mat under the treadmill OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PERFORMANT LUBE WALKING BELT Y our treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE a high performance lubricant IMPORTANT Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking plat form They will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear HOW TO PLUG IN THE POWER CORD A DANGER Improper connection

17. nt Bolt please call our Customer Service Department toll free at 1 800 999 3756 Monday through Friday 6 a m until 6 p m Mountain Time excluding holidays To help us assist you please note the product model number and serial number before calling The model number of the treadmill is WLTL10091 The serial number can be found on a decal attached to the tread mill see the front cover of this manual for the location Before reading further please review the drawing below and familiarize yourself with the labeled parts Console Handrail RIGHT SIDE Hood Power Cord Circuit Breaker Incline Leg ASSEMBLY Assembly requires two persons Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed Note The underside of the treadmill walking belt is coated with high performance lubricant During shipping a small amount of lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton This does not affect treadmill performance If there is lubricant on top of the walking belt simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild non abrasive cleaner Assembly requires the pate allen wrench and your own phillips screwdriver s jr two adjustable wrenches and a 9 16 socket wrench i 1 With the help of a second person carefully raise the Right and Left Handrails 6 7 to the position shown 2

19. position 2 Move your right hand to the position shown and hold the treadmill firmly Raise the treadmill until the latch pin is aligned with the hole in the left handrail Slide the latch pin into the hole Make sure that the latch pin is in serted as far as possible into the hole Lock the pin by pressing the end of the pin into the slot in the storage latch as shown in the inset drawing To protect the floor or carpet from damage place a mat under the treadmill Keep the treadmill out of di rect sunlight Do not leave the treadmill in the storage position in temperatures above 85 Fahrenheit HOW TO MOVE THE TREADMILL Before moving the treadmill convert the treadmill to the stor age position as described above Make sure that the latch pin is fully inserted into the hole in the handrail and locked into place as described above 1 Hold the handrails and place one foot on the base as shown 2 Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels Carefully move the treadmill to the desired location Never move the treadmill without tipping it back To reduce the risk of injury use extreme caution while moving the treadmill Do not attempt to move the treadmill over an uneven surface 3 Place one foot on the base and carefully lower the tread mill until it is resting in the storage position 10 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1 Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right ha
