BRIC switch controls the heat or drying temperature ronan cvet neal SELECT TIMER SETTING in cycle desired AUTOMATIC TIME DRY PERMANENT PRESS KNITS or Set FLUFF CYCLE These cycles control the drying time See Pages 4 through 7 for Tint bey ee detailed information aan retss un Page 2 START DRYER Press the PUSH TO START button Dryer will oper ate until the end of the cycle when timer knob indicator reaches the OFF position TO STOP DRYER AT ANY TIME Open dryer door or turn timer knob to OFF position PUSH TO START TO RESTART DRYER Close door reset timer if necessary and press PUSH TO START button Speed Queen dryers are designed so they will not operate if the door is open The PUSH TO START button which is out of the reach of small children MUST be pressed to start the dryer if it has been stopped for any reason This is a safety feature SET SIGNAL CONTROL Turn se lector to LOUD loudest sound or to OFF no sound or to any level between The signal will buzz for one to two minutes before the dryer stops at the end of each cycle as a reminder to remove the clothes from the dryer The signal will also stop when the door is opened Unless you want to change the sound level the signal need not be set for each load It will buzz automatically Hat Loup SIGNAL Page 3 ABOUT YOUR SPEED QUEEN DRYER AUTOMATIC CYCLES The AUTOMATIC CYCLES are designed to dry lar

C setting chosen SUGGESTED DRYER SETTINGS LOAD TYPE FABRIC SETTING MINUTES NO HEAT ITEMS Plastic Foam Rubber Rubber and any item to be dried with no heat FLUFF 5 15 Add dry towels to absorb moisture when drying plastic and rubber items in this cycle For longer periods no heat drying may also be used with TIME DRY CYCLE Set FABRIC selector at FLUFF Do not use FLUFF setting with AUTOMATIC CYCLES Page 7 LINT FILTER The lint filter is located at the front of the dryer in the lower part of the door opening see illustration below CLEAN THE LINT FILTER BEFORE DRYING EACH LOAD If a layer or pad of lint is on the filter this will block the flow of air through the dryer and increase the drying time Not only will clothes take longer to dry but energy will be wasted The filter may or may not be taken out to remove lint TO REMOVE LINT Wipe across the filter with damp fingers TO REMOVE LINT FILTER Lift filter up and out of door opening Filter may be washed if any residue is noticed on it TO REPLACE FILTER Place filter in door recess and push in firmly THE LINT FILTER MUST BE IN PLACE IN THE DOOR OPENING WHEN USING DRYER EXHAUST SYSTEM We recommend the dryer be exhausted to the outside atmosphere to assure maximum drying efficiency The duct pipe should be cleaned periodically to remove any obstructions Check occasionally to make sure the flapper on the outside weather hood moves freely is not p

4. ge and average size loads of similar weight fabrics When properly set for the load the dryer will determine the exact length of drying time shut the heat off when the clothes are dry and will tumble for a determined number of minutes with no heat before stopping at the OFF position Uniformity of fabrics is important to ensure that all items will dry in the same length of time THE TIMER KNOB WILL NOT ADVANCE WITH THE SAME REGU LARITY IN THE AUTOMATIC CYCLES AS IT DOES IN THE TIME DRY CYCLES See What to do before calling your serviceman Page 11 LOAD TYPES FOR AUTOMATIC CYCLES HEAVY For fabrics that absorb a lot of water such as cotton quilts large rugs and unusually large or heavy items This cycle will not be required for most loads NORMAL For cottons such as terry cloth towels cotton knits corduroys cotton work clothes and mixed loads DELICATE For medium and light weight fabrics not permanent press as in sheets dresses dress shirts and for delicate items These cycles have a 5 minute cool down no heat period at the end of the cycle PERMANENT PRESS KNITS For permanent press polyester knits and other synthetics that are no iron This cycle has a 10 minute cool down no heat period before the COOL amp TUMBLE The signal will buzz as a reminder to remove the clothes If they are not removed at this time the dryer will continue to tumble with no heat for an additional 15 minutes The s
