CONTRAST PLUS Press the gt or lt q buttons to turn this option ON or OFF When Contrast Plus Black Stretch is ON it helps to sharpen the picture qual ity The black portions of the picture become richer in darkness and the whites BRIGHTNESS COLOR become brighter PICTURE The onscreen menu will time out and dis SHARPNESS appear from the screen when you finish or SOME 4 ON you can press the STATUS EXIT button to clear the menu from the screen SETTING THE TV FOR CLOSED CAPTIONING losed Captioning CC allows you to read the voice content of television programs on the TV screen Designed to help the hear ing impaired this feature uses onscreen text boxes to show dia logue and conversations while the TV program is in progress BEGIN Press the MENU button on the remote to display the onscreen menu lt gt Press the CURSOR UP A or DOWN Y button until the word CC Closed Caption is highlighted lt 3 gt Press the CURSOR RIGHT gt button to select the CLOSED CAPTION option you want CC OFF CC 1 CC 2 or CC MUTE Dialogue and descriptions for the action on the captioned TV program will appear onscreen lt 4 gt NOTE You can also set the Closed Caption by pressing the CC button on the remote When pressed repeatedly the screen will display the options CC OFF CC 1 CC 2 or CC MUTE D va SMART HELP Remember The onscreen Z menu will time out and disap pear from the sc
