During initialisation the indicator on the front panel will flash green for a few seconds and then be lit and remain green If the indicator is red stand by press the Power button on the remote control The front panel indicator will now be lit green To switch off the set top box press Power again With the Set Top Box on the FIRST TIME INSTALLA TION window is displayed You are asked to enter the type of TV set you are using FIRST TIME INSTALLATION Please choose TV Type using keys oom OK hiatal Use the 4 buttons to choose either NORMAL or WIDESCREEN Press the 5222 button to start installation The following message is briefly displayed FIRST TIME INSTALLATION Please wait while your settings are updated This is replaced by the window shown below Do you want to start automatic search Yes No Use the 4 gt buttons to highlight Yes and then press the button The system then starts to search all channels for available radio and TV stations This may take a few minutes The stations found are listed in the centre panel and the total number found displayed above this panel There is a progress bar below the listing panel that shows the chan nels so far searched within the scan range 21 68 0 GETTING STARTED AUTOMATIC SEARCH Channels Searching UHF Channel 22 Please wait This will take a few minutes 0 100 a C Exit

USING THE SET Box 15 Additional Functions Information Help button The 1 has two functions according to the current sta tus I When or Radio channel is playing press the 1 button to display program information Channel name and number Current program name start and end play times Next program name and start and end play times Signal level for current channel Time of day TV or Radio icon 2 get help about the current selection window press the i button for relevant information Volume To increase or decrease the volume of the channel playing press the Vol and Vol buttons respectively The maxi mum volume is set by the volume control setting on the volume slider icon appears the TV screen for visual feedback Mute Press the Mute button to turn of the sound Press again to restore the sound to the previous level Swap Press the Swap button to switch between the two previ ously selected channels Text MHEG With the text button you can access certain Text and Mul timedia contents MHEG Multimedia and Hypermedia Expert Group is a standard that offers you information about various con tents like life style shopping or sports events and results Press the Text or Red button to bring up the text menu for the current channel 2 Use the buttons to navigate through the menu 3 Use to select an item Additionally you now h

When scanning has finished the received stations are automatically arranged in numerical order The TV set then plays the station at the top of this sorted list The Info box for the TV station playing is displayed for a short time The TV station continues to play the pro gramme Note Your receiver as with any electronic equipment con sumes power In order to reduce power consumption please switch your receiver to standby when not in use If you will not be using your receiver for a long period of time we recommend unplugging it from the mains outlet Using the Set Top Box Channel List The Channel List presents a list of all channels found dur ing the channel search described earlier The list com prises radio and TV channels They have been allocated a channel reference number and are listed in this numeri cal order The Channel List can be used to watch and listen to the selected channels delete them from the list edit the name of the channel set a password to access the channel and to add the channel to your list of favourite channels Press the TV Radio button to display the CHANNEL LIST see below for an example This shows a TV channel selected When a radio channel is selected the picture frame will be blank CHANNEL LIST 77 6 Music 78 BBC 7 79 BBC Asian Net 701 701 702 702 703 703 800 BBC World 801 FAB 802 S BW RP 803 WDR You have 23 channels Watch Delete Edit Nam
