3. c e gt 0 Amro 9 7 ee e D H 0 mg English INSTALLATION e In the base of the unit there is a red transit protection clamp This clamp serves to secure the mechanism of the CD changer to protect it during transport Remove the red transit protection clamp and store it in the hole on the rear see Fig 2 Should you wish to transport the unit again the mechanism must be secured once more in order to prevent damage e Always remove the CDs from the tray before moving the unit e Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is several centimetres ventilation room around the unit Do not place the unit in direct sunlight or close to radiators heaters etc This will help prevent over heating Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture CONNECTIONS AND CONTROLS Fig 2 DIGITAL OUT socket This output supplies a digital signal and can therefore only be connect ed to an input which is suitable for this signal Never connect this socket to a non digital input ofan amplifier such as AUX CD TAPE PHONO etc REMOTE IN socket This socket can be connect ed to the REMOTE OUT or RC 5 OUT socket of another unit An optional cable is available under number SBC 1103 or 4822 321 21204 c CD OUT sockets For connection to the CD IN or AUX IN sockets on the amplifier Hole for storing the transport clamp Connection socket for
4. appears in the display the CD player cannot read the disc Possible causes are you inserted the CD the wrong way the label should face up Fig 5 the surface of the disc is badly scratched or dirty see Maintenance the lens is steamed up because of a sudden transition from a cold into a warm environment Let the set acclimatize for a while If EE appears in the display the CD player cannot reach the desired mechanical position Possible causes are You did not remove the red transit protection clamp the CD tray or the turntable in the tray is blocked a disc is not properly positioned in the tray or the tray cannot open or close In case of this error make sure that the tray and the turntable are free to move switch off the set and then on again Changing discs during play e Press OPEN CLOSE 2 to open the CD tray 9 Two discs can now be changed e Press the LOAD button to rotate the turntable in 4 the tray after which the other two discs can be changed Selecting a different disc during play e Press the desired number of the DISC SELECT buttons 3 In display the disc number will appear and shortly afterwards the first track of the chosen disc will start to play Selecting a different track during play e Press NEXT TRACK SEARCH UP 7 or PREV TRACK SEARCH DOWN until the required track number appears in the display Shortly after this the chosen track will s
