AHTO RES 2 Press the Auto Rec key again Your fax machine switches to the next answering mode Continue pressing the Auto Rec key until the desired answering appears on the display After a short pause your fax machine programs the new answering mode and returns to standby mode displaying the new answering mode setting Fax Machine Identification Fax machines use the information you will enter here to identify themselves during communications In most countries programming this information into your fax machine is a legal requirement The information you will enter here includes TSI CSI This is the telephone number of your fax machine This number appears on displays and reports of other fax machines with which you communicate This number may also be printed at the top of faxes you send to other fax machines Sender ID This is a descriptive title and is usually the location of your fax machine or the name of your company or office The Sender ID 25 is printed at the top of every fax you send You can enter up to 32 characters The first 16 characters of your Sender ID will also be used as your Personal ID which may appear on the dis plays or reports of other fax machines with which you are com municating Note Some fax machines do not print your TSI CSI on their received pages To make sure that your TSI CS1 is always printed you can include your fax number as part of your Sender ID Call Back Number The Call

Data is sent from an email client on a PC to the Fax machine but the reception has failed Is the TIFF format used supported by this Internet Fax e If only a text has been sent it will not be printed out unless the TEXT PRINT setting is ON e Some email clients send email using unusual formats which this fax machine cannot receive The fax machine prints out a large number of meaningless characters It may be printing out a file format that the machine cannot decode If this occurs ask the sender to resend the fax using TEXT only format Communication errors occur and service code F078 is given each time The POP server password or user ID may be wrong causing the server to return authentication errors Can PDF files be received PDF files can be sent but cannot be received 99 Authentication Unable To Send Global E mails Symptom The machine can receive emails from both inside a local net work and globally from outside a local network It can send emails to anyone on the local network but it cannot send emails to anyone outside the local network Cause If all of the parameters on the T 37 have been configured prop erly the problem may be that the mail server requires authenti cation as most mail servers can be configured to require authentication If this is enabled on the mail server it will pre vent the machine from sending any global email since the Oki T 37 card does not currently support
