2. speed Select a speed level by pressing one of three Speed Level Buttons Super Medium Low The indicator light above the selected button will illuminate e Press the Power Button again to turn off the Environizer OPERATION TIMER Environizer SPEED LEVELS Low MEDIUM SUPER oOo 9 10 LAMPS ON OFF Timer Button Timer Indicators e The Timer works with any speed level e Press the Timer Button to select 3 6 or 10 hour operation The timer indicators will light at the selected time The Environizer will automatically turn off when time runs out e The Timer can be turned off by repeatedly pressing the Timer Button until all of the timer indicators go out NOTE Opening the unit or turning the unit OFF will cancel the timer function OPERATION DUAL UV LAMPS The Dual UV Lamps work with any speed level e Press the Lamps On Off Button to turn the Lamps on or off The Lamps will light and you will see faint blue glow from the two lamps along the sides of the Environizer NOTE Opening the unit or turning the unit OFF will cancel the UV Lamp function The Lamps intensity will increase as the unit warms up this is normal REMOVING INSTALLING THE COLLECTOR ROD To remove the Collector Rod e Unplug the Environizer e Press the Control Panel Release Button and rotate the top cover back e Grip the Collector Rod handle and pull up firmly To install the Collector

Environizer IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT When using electrical appliances basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire electric shock and injury to persons including the following 1 Use only as described in this instruction manual 2 This product operates at 120 VAC 60 Hz only 3 Do not use this product if it is damaged in any way or form Immediately unplug the Environizer and return it for service under the warranty agreement for repair 4 To reduce the risk of electric shock this equipment has a grounding type plug that has a third grounding pin This plug will only fit into a grounding type power outlet If the plug does not fit to the outlet contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet Do not alter the plug in any way 5 Do not operate this product with a damaged cord or plug or if the product malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner The UV lens is an important safety device If the UV lens is broken or damaged do not use the Environizer and never expose yourself or look directly at the UV bulb s while it is illuminated Return this product to an authorized service facility for examination electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair 6 For indoor use only This product is not intended for use in bathroom laundry areas or similar moist indoor locations Never loca

Rod e Ensure the Environizer is unplugged e The Collector Rod inserts only one way Align the Collector with the opening in the Environizer e Press down until the Collector Rod seats firmly in place Ensure the top handle is flush with the surrounding surfaces e Rotate the top cover down and securely latch in place CLEANING THE COLLECTOR ROD We recommend using LifeWise Cleaning Cloths Model 63 1513 to help gently clean the collector rod so your Environizer unit can continue to perform as intended When using the LifeWise Cleaning Cloths always ensure that the collector rod is completely dry before reinserting into the Environizer unit For common household particles Remove the Collector Rod as described above Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the surface of the Collector Rod Ensure that the Collector Rod is completely dry e Insert the Collector Rod back into the unit e Clean the Collector Rod every 2 3 weeks sooner if needed For tobacco smoke or particles that are not easily removed Remove the Collector Rod as described above e Use a scrub sponge dampened with a mild soap and water solution and wipe the Collector Rod from top to bottom Wipe down the Collector Rod with a damp cloth and insure that no soap residue remains on the Collector Rod and it is completely dry Do not place under running water to rinse e Insert the Collector Rod back into the unit e Clean th
5. ce NOTE IF YOU CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM PLEASE RETURN THE ENVIRONIZER TO THE PLACE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE OR SEE YOUR WARRANTY DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE ENVIRONIZER YOURSELF DOING SO MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PERSONAL INJURY IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE ENVIRONIZER PLEASE CALL OR WRITE Kaz Home Environment Consumer Relations Department 250 Turnpike Road Southborough MA 01772 Toll Free 1 800 332 1110 E mail consumerrelations kaz com FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How often is cleaning required e About every three weeks depending upon your atmospheric conditions e Is the Environizer considered an ozone generator e No Ozone generators produce large amounts of ozone and the EPA considers these unsafe for household use The Environizer electrostatically removes particles from the air and releases only trace amounts of ozone My Environizer was making a crackling sound and now it doesn t seem to be cleaning the air anymore Is it broken e No The Environizer needs to be cleaned When too much dirt accumulates on both the collector and electrostatic wires the power to the Collector Rod turns off but the fan will continue to run Clean the Environizer and the unit should then operate normally See CLEANING THE COLLECTOR ROD and CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE The Timer does not work after cleaned and started the Environizer
6. e Collector Rod every week sooner if needed Your Environizer may experience some discoloration on the Collector Rod over time This is normal and does not affect the performance of the product in any way CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE The Environizer should be cleaned at least once every three weeks More frequent cleaning may be required depending upon environmental conditions Turn off and unplug the Environizer Press the control panel release button and rotate the Top Cover up Remove and clean the collector rod as previously described Turn the unit upside down 2 or 3 times and hold for at least 3 seconds each time This allows the cleaning bars inside the unit to scrape any accumulated debris off the electrostatic wires Note Do not stick any foreign objects or your fingers inside the unit e Use a clean dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the Environizer DO NOT USE WATER GASOLINE POLISH OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION REPLACING THE DUAL UV LAMPS e Be sure to turn off and unplug your Environizer Air Purifier e Press the Control Panel Release Button and rotate the Top Cover back e Locate the left bulb and turn the arrow towards the unlock symbol so it is horizontal and facing 3 o clock Gently grasp the top of the arrow and pull the bulb housing straight out of the UV socket Do not touch the bulb directly with your hands e Do the same for the right bulb and turn the arrow t
