JOHN BUNN Oxygen Regulator Instructions amp Warranty Information JB0150 085 JB0150 086 Oxygen Flow Control Regulators Oxygen flow control regulators are pressure reducing devices which lower oxygen pressure from a cylinder to levels that can be safely used by the end user Oxygen flow control regulators are intended for the admin istration of oxygen to patients who need increased oxygen levels to improve their breathing conditions In addition some models may be used in emergency situations In an emergency situation be sure to contact a physician or EMS immediately WARNING DO NOT reuse plastic crush gaskets fire risk gt Up Yoke Style Inspect the cylinder following the instructions of your gas supplier Be sure to purge the cylinder valve seat of debris e Inspect the regulator for oil or grease If either is vis ible DO NOT use the regulator e Be sure the sealing washer is in place on the inlet of the regulator e Before attaching the regulator to the valve inspect the regulator and the seal to ensure that they re in good condition and be sure that the regulator has just one of the CGA 870 seals Slip the yoke over the cylinder post and fit the pins into the holes on the cylinder valve The pins should fit easily into these holes e Tighten the T handle firmly by hand but don t use wrenches or other tools that may over torque the handle Turn the T Handle clockwise until the screw is seat
4. ed in the dimple on the cylinder valve Be sure the regulator is tightened securely into the cylinder e Attach the oxygen supply tubing to the outlet connec tion of the regulator ae Up H Nut Style Inspect the cylinder following the instructions of your gas supplier Be sure to purge the cylinder valve seat of debris Inspect the regulator for oil or grease If either is vis ible DO NOT use the regulator Before attaching the regulator to the valve inspect the regulator and the seal to ensure that they re in good condition and be sure that the regulator has just one of the CGA 870 seals Gently thread the large nut on the regulator on the connection on the cylinder valve Tighten the nut with a wrench until snug Attach the oxygen supply tubing to the outlet connec tion of the regulator Instructions for Use Be sure the regulator is in the off position by rotating the knob counterclockwise to the O position For safety be sure you are not directly in front of or behind the regulator when opening the cylinder valve Open the cylinder valve slowly while maintaining a grip on the valve wrench so that it can be closed quickly if gas escapes between the regulator and the valve SLOWLY turn the cylinder valve counterclockwise about one full turn If you can hear a hissing sound there is a leak in the system Turn the cylinder off and turn the regulator on to relieve any built up pressure Try tightening
