Lean oe AUTO AUTO AUTO gt pray P ewn D gt poe TAPE EJECT M ote Auto power off does not function during regular DVD Play mode The DVD VCR power stays on DVD Operation Playing DVDs Playback Setup e Turn on the TV and select the video input source con nected to the DVD VCR e Audio system Turn on the audio system and select the input source connected to the DVD VCR e Set the DVD VCR output source to DVD as shown in Selecting the Viewing Source on page 6 1 Press EJECT 4 to open the disc tray Load the disc in the tray with the label facing up When a double sided DVD is inserted make sure the side you want to play is facing down Press EJECT 4 to close the tray LOAd appears on the front panel display and playback starts automatically If playback does not start press PLAY Bb In some cases the disc menu may appear instead Ti a menu screen is displayed If the DVD has a disc menu it may be displayed when the disc is loaded DVD Use the lt gt A buttons to select the title chapter you want to view then press ENTER to start playback Press TITLE or DISC MENU to return to the menu screen otes e If Parental Control is set and the disc is not within the Rating settings not authorized the 4 digit password must be entered and or the disc must be authorized see Parental Control on page 20 e DVDs may have a Region Code

Set the input channel to AV Press INPUT to select AV e f you have connected your DVD VCR to the A V input jacks on the rear of the DVD VCR you should select AV by pressing INPUT Play the tape in the camcorder or another VCR If you have a TV attached to your DVD VCR you can see the video playing When you are ready to begin recording press REC once to start ote Before recording please confirm the recording start position Copying from DVD to VCR This unit is capable of copying the contents of a DVD to a VHS tape ote If the DVD you are attempting to copy is copy protected you will not be able to copy the disc It is not permitted to copy Macrovision encoded DVDs Lock is displayed on the front panel display Insert Disc Insert the disc you wish to copy in the DVD deck and close the disc tray Insert VHS Tape Insert a blank VHS video tape into the VCR deck Press PLAY B5 on the DVD deck The DVD will go into Play mode e f the DVD disc menu appears you may need to press PLAY Bi manually to begin copying Press COPY on the front panel e The DVD VCR will go into Record mode e The COPY indicator will light Stop the Copy Process When the DVD is finished playing press STOP W to stop recording You must stop the Copy process manually when the DVD movie ends or the unit may replay and record over and over again ote When you stop DVD playback during copying t
